Not sure where to start with this review. I’ve eaten in this building multiple times when it was known as Renee’s and always loved the breakfasts and wanted to support local businesses. I did my search on the menu and so, decided to try it. One burrito side of fries and one order of 3 picaditas (?). We sat down and the lady dropped off menus and she didn’t ask if we wanted something to drink so we pulled a canned juice drink from the cooler. The salsa was HOT and we asked if she had the mild, she answered yes, the mild salsa never arrived to table. The lady had this quizzical look when we spoke and so, repeated the requests to her. The burrito was disappointing because the meat was not freshly cooked but reheated (in a microwave) as there wasn’t any cooking smells in the place. My choice was disappointing as well because when I reached to pick up the picadita, it crumbled in my hand, the ingredients fell into different directions and made a mess. The base shell was clearly stale and reheated and sad. Most of the menu items include French fries and reflects in the prices and although I asked for a substitute, the waitress didn’t address my question probably due to communication barrier.
The photos of food on their site varied considerably from our food.
It’s once and done.
Great place for all the folks that have no ideal place to dine out in the middle of this town tucked back in with limited...
Read moreReally wish the menu was small and focus on more Mexican and fresh. You can't have fresh food when the menu is sooo long and has so many types of food going on. I wish they focused on just Mexican food and by doing that they could be amazing but because I think there is so much it's not the best. I was hoping we would get an authentic Mexican/taco spot like in Californa. The closest one around here is in Temple Pa called Best Taco hes a Mexican chef who makes amazing authentic Mexican food take a look at his menu it's small and condensed everything is fresh and is so good. The first time I came here when you just opened I loved it and left, the second time the meat was soo dry with no broth or juice, the third time the salsa tasted off maybe jarred now, and the fourth time you had no tamales. I hate living out here in this town with no good food please look at other restaurants in bigger cities and see what they're doing to be successful I would love to get tacos a block away instead of...
Read moreWhat a great local gem. Nice selection of standard American fare but the star is genuinely authentic Mexican food
I had a nice order of tongue tacos (a favorite of mine) beans and rice. Great taste and the offerings were not wildly hot so those who dont care for spicey hot can enjoy too. Chips and home made pico were complimentary.
The owners gemuinely cared about my experience. I.particularly loved a visit from mom.
The place was very clean including the restroom.
