Gino's Pizza & Spaghetti House — Restaurant in Barboursville

Before I begin this review, I want to stress that this ONLY APPLIES to the Barboursville, WV location.

PLEASE AVOID THIS DUMPSTER FIRE OF A LOCATION AT ALL COSTS. After many, MANY "second chances", my wife and I are finished with this particular location for good after my wife was hung up on TWICE when trying to find out where our order was. She was so incensed that she drove to the location and was nonchalantly told that they never recieved the order (she ordered online) and that there was nothing they could do about it. She got a half-hearted offer to make the order, but the staff seemed uninterested about her issue.

Couple things:

If you're going to run an online ordering system, it needs to work. What's likely is they don't check online orders.

DO NOT HANG UP ON YOUR CUSTOMERS. Here's the deal: this has happened to us at this location EASILY 25 times in the past two years. You'll call to place an order/check on an order, they tell you to hold, you hear laughing in the background, and CLICK. Doesn't take a genius to understand what they're doing there. I've already reported this issue to Gino's management before, but my "resolution" was one free Large one-topping pizza CARRY OUT....wow.

We are not complainers....my wife and I worked food service in college and we fully understand the plight of the food service worker. The job is DIFFICULT. But for a location to continually ignore their customers, hang up on them, and out and out seem like they DO NOT WANT TO DO BUSINESS, that's where I draw the line.

Furthermore, I made the decision to post a public review instead of handling this privately because I've already given Gino's management an opportunity before to make this right, yet the problem persists. A complete and utter staff overhaul (complete with leadership) is sorely needed at this location purely based upon the terrible service they provide the community that keeps their doors open, and lights on. I will be copying and pasting this review and posting it to every social media outlet that I have, with hopes that the review goes somewhat viral, at least in the tri-state area.

It's a shame. We push really hard to support everything local, and we love Gino's food when we want baked spaghetti/wings/pubwiches. The food is spectacular because Gino's as a whole does a great job. It's just that Barboursville is a disgrace. We will no longer be ordering, and I encourage you, reader, to...

I wish I didn’t even have to give this place a star to give a review. I love Gino’s but hate, hate, HATE this location. The staff is rude, they ALWAY mess up my order, and take my complaints as a joke. I was ordering $80 worth of food and they denied my delivery because I had a $6.99 pizza on my order. I was ordering again and I wanted 10 wings (5 breaded, 5 naked). They have never had a problem with this before but now they do. I asked to talk to a manger and when I told her my service was god awful, she laughed in my ear. I then called their owners since it is private owned and they promised to call me back. I’m still waiting on the call two weeks later. I order tonight a chicken bacon ranch and their online site does not say there is tomatoes on their pizza and then I told the young man that their online site does not say tomatoes and he laughed and said I was probably looking at Charleston Gino’s, I wasn’t. So I asked to speak to a manger where he yelled in my ear, “Joe want to take this?” And laughed very hard. I’m very disappointed in this location and will take the extra 10 miles to go to...

I left the text of my previous review up, which had garnered my previous 1 star review. Since then things have been so so so different! The food, especially the wings have been a go to for me since I moved out here, and they have always been amazing! Delivery times had been... inconsistent at best. Things have changed in the last month though, they are fast, they are hot when they get here. I'm moving this up from the one star before to 4 because of this change!

For those looking for a recommendation, this is the place to get wings from, the pizza isn't bad, but I get it so rarely i don't have much of an opinion other than "I'd eat the pizza again"
