Captain D's — Restaurant in Bardstown

I like Captain D’s food however, I have been consistently disappointed with their drive thru service at this location. EVERY TIME the order has been WRONG! I have driven back to the restaurant to get the order corrected..at least 6x. Fortunately, they correct the order but there is never an apology of any kind. I just don’t understand why they can’t get orders correct. It’s so frustrating having to drive back to the restaurant meanwhile the food that was provided is stone cold which makes for a horrible dining experience. Word of caution, if you go there, you better double check your food before driving away. You cannot rely on the person at the window to tell you that your order is what’s in the bag, because they don’t verify and the simply don’t care!! Also, they need better training of their staff…they are very immature, poorly trained, and lack customer service skills. This is by far the worst Captain D’s I’ve ever...

I havent really had an issue with the food itself. However, the last 3 times I have been here they are out of tartar sauce (come on people this is a seafood place), large cups, ice on one trip, lobster rolls (one of their feature items) and a couple other things I can't remember right now. The staff could also use some training on actual customer service. They can take an order, work a register and hand off an order but they don't interact with the customers. The younger ones just want to socialize with each other. If I were strictly rating just the food they would get 4 or 5 stars. The food has always been good, hot and packed as...

It was after dining room hours when we pulled up bobtail in our big truck. We didn't realize the dining room closed early. One of the employees met us at the restaurant door and explained that they could let us in to order since they realized there was no way our truck could go through the drive thru but the dining room was already closed for the day so it would be to go only. This was perfectly fine with us bc we were busy happy to be able to eat what we had wanted in the first place! Thank you so much for accommodating us tonight. Very respectful and friendly staff. Super fast service with the food coming out....
