Absolutely horrible treatment from the manager Chris, would give 0 stars if possible! Chris has never been that friendly even though we used to frequent there, but last night my husband and I ordered delivery and he was just plain mean! My husband ordered cavatelli and broccoli and added grilled chicken for $4, but the order was missing the grilled chicken. He simply called to let them know of the error and wanted the $4 refunded back to his card. Chris got nasty, saying he saw the cook add the chicken, implying my husband was lying. My husband offered to take a picture of the meal and send it to him, to which Chris said no, and that he was just going to send a whole new meal out. My husband said that wasnāt necessary, and Chris accused him of ābeing difficult.ā He also told my husband that if he wanted to get the $4 refund he had to bring the meal down and show him it was missing the chicken! We ordered takeout because we were babysitting so that was not an option, not to mention we wanted to eat our meals together. Pretty soon a new meal arrived anyway, and then about 20 minutes later (right in the middle of our dinner), the doorbell rang AGAIN and it was the delivery guy wanting the original meal back. He said to my husband āSorry about all this man, Iām just trying to do what Iām told so I donāt get yelled at.ā
WOW. So not only did our whole experience become very unpleasant after my husband was called a liar and told he was difficult, but we were also interrupted several times during our mealā all because of a $4 order of grilled chicken! All we wanted was to get the money back for something we paid for but didnāt receive, but not only was Chris extremely rude to us, itās obvious he doesnāt treat his employees right either! What a nasty man, and their food isnāt even anything great! They have made some mistakes with our orders in the past and we let it go, and now I see if we tried to call, this is the treatment we wouldāve gotten. Iām glad we found out now, though, so that we never order from them again! Treating customers and employees is detrimental to business, and wanted to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHad to find a new Pizza place to go to. Vinny's pizza In Barnegat was the go to place but I started to notice the consistency and food quality was slipping....a lot. Went to a few local places, they were ok. Then one night we went to Marchioni's, been back several times. No inconsistency there . Pizza is always done just rite. Subs are made with Boar's Head meats not cheap cold cuts. The Italian sub I got at Marchioni's was the best I've had in a long time. Very friendly people and made me feel my business was appreciated. At Vinnie's Pizza, things like undercooked or burnt pies, missing items from pies or subs is the only consistent thing they offer. Different taste and texture from order to order. This is because they buy food by price not quality. Got an Italian sub, it had cheap hoagie salami, ham that's 39% water and the hot peppers had stems the size of tree branches. Almost broke a tooth on one. But the last straw was seeing just how deep down nasty Kathy the owner is. I'm not giving my money to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been going to Marchioniās for years! Actually the first restaurant I fell in love with from moving from California way back in the day. The chicken Marsala was always my go to favorite and now itās my sons! My husband loves the homemade stuffed shells and now Iām in love with the salmon piccata and the pizza is always perfect! Yum, now I am thinking about it thatās going to be dinner tonight! The owners are amazing and so is the staff, one thing that stands out is the customer service, I recently came to pick up my order and the driver noticed I forgot my bag with salads and brought it to my house without me prompting it ( didnāt even know it was missing yet- and then it hit me to leave this long way overdue review) He made it to my house before I did! I really love love love Marchionis for the food but also for the amazing people making it all happen! Thankful to have them in our community!...
