Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Barnstable

I was ordering a peanut butter cup and the waitress that was talking to me asked for my name, I gave it etc. when I started drinking out of the drink that had my name on it, it tasted like coffee so I asked “does this have caffeine in it” and she replied “yes it’s the mocha madness” keep in mind I didn’t order that. So I obviously said that wasn’t what I ordered and she questioned me and I said I ordered the peanut butter cup and she started rolling her eyes and angrily started making the second one. When she gave it to me she just slammed it on the counter and said “you’re welcome” rudely and then continued to walk away rolling her eyes. Absolutely terrible service and when I walked out of the store tasting the drink I thought was right, it tasted like pure water with a hint of peanut butter. It felt like she purposely made it terribly because she was angry. For a cafe that charges so much for smoothies, I feel like it should be WAY better quality. I don’t plan to be going again because of this terrible experience. My friends and family will know of this situation. I have never been served so terribly. I have never had a good experience here, and this last time will definitely be my last. Since I'm handicapped, I ordered a Smoothie and chicken sandwich to be brought out curbside. Made sure they had all of the right info on my car. And then proceeded to sit and sit in my car, in one of the handicap spots. Ten minutes after my order was to be brought out, I managed to make my way indoors to be told they no longer do curbside service. Then why is it an option in the app? Why don't they have a sign posted saying so? What's even worse, I was handed my now cooling chicken sandwich. And that's it. I had to ask where my Smoothie was. I was told they'd get it ready. This was now about a half hour after I had placed my order! I had to wait another ten minutes to get my Smoothie! And when it was handed to me, the side was dripping and messy. So by the time I got home, my chicken sandwich was cold. Never again. Never, ever again. Update: I got very sick from eating that chicken sandwich. Very, very sick. I'd recommend that you don't eat cooked foods here. Next Update: management contacted me and apologized profusely. They also refunded what I had paid for that order, so perhaps I will...

I LOVE Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I’ve eaten at its locations numerous times. This one, however, is by far the worst. They either make the wrong flavor of smoothie or don’t blend it all the way. Their sandwiches have wet bread (weird and gross I know) and are sloppily made. I ordered curbside pickup one time because I had a broken foot and I waited outside for 20+ minutes. When I finally went in to get my order it was made incorrectly. I once called in an order and was put on hold only to hear the employee flirt with a customer instead of taking my order. All of this would be amusing if I hadn’t wasted so much money in this backwater location. Not to mention, if you compare their prices to other Tropical Smoothie locations, they’re significantly more expensive. Do NOT go here. Bad food, bad service, overpriced.
