I used to order pizza from here regularly. I won't do that ever again.
I ordered a pizza today and when I got there, it was overdone (this was from the owner, not me) so they asked if I wanted another one. I said I did, so I waited there. When I got home, I saw they made the wrong pizza--it wasn't what I ordered. After having waited for a second pizza (through no mistake of my own), I threw it away in frustration and got something to eat elsewhere.
When I called the shop to tell them what happened, they asked if I wanted another pizza delivered. At this point, I'd already eaten something, so I asked for a free pizza on my next visit. They agreed to do that. That's fair.
Then the owner called me and left me a message. I called him back. He wanted to know if I was sure that I had the wrong toppings on the second pizza they made me (and asked if I wanted a delivery pizza). I told him that I waited there for them to make it, I took the pizza they gave me, and when I got home it had sausage on it and I had ordered mushrooms. I also told him that I know the difference between the two. I'd already eaten something else by then and threw away the pizza in frustration. He didn't seem to understand that I threw it away because he asked me that question twice.
So, either the owner thinks I was lying when I called to tell them about the mistake or he thinks that I don't know the difference between sausage and mushrooms. I'm not sure which one is worse (either I'm a cheat or a moron), but I do know that that's terrible customer service and that they've lost my business for good because of it.
Lots of pizza places in the area. Think twice before you order from this one.
ETA: It's true, I did use an expletive--but it's not true that I swore at you. Be honest now. I said I know the #(!ing difference between sausage and mushroom. And I used an expletive because I was angry. I was angry because I had to wait for a second pizza because your kid in back forgot to set the timer and my pizza was overdone. I was angry because, after having to wait for a second pizza, and getting home with it, I saw that the second pizza was wrong. Then, when we spoke on the phone, I was angry because you kept asking if I was sure about what was on my pizza, as if I didn't know the difference between what I ordered and what I received. You might have used an expletive, too, if you were in my shoes.
Your pizza is decent, but the service I had today was not. And you're right: Primo pizza...
Read moreMy name is Dan Parisi. I own Primo Pizza in Barrington. Recently, someone posted a negative review about Sergio's Pizza with my name given as the reviewer. I don't know if the person posting the review was attempting to be humorous by using my name but I would like to set the record straight. I did NOT nor would I ever bad mouth Sergio's or Tony Dioguardi and I did NOT post that review. My family has known the Dioguardi Family for more than 25 years. Every Dioguardi I've ever had the pleasure of meeting has always been friendly, gracious and personable. The Dioguardi children were blessed to be raised by wonderful parents that did a terrific job teaching them the important life lessons about integrity and hard work that enables you to achieve your dreams. Tony's father, Alphonse was a great man who worked his way up from humble beginnings to become a very successful dentist and businessman. Mr. Dioguardi passed down his strong ethics and hard working spirit to all of his children. I think he may have also passed down some of his family recipes! Sergio's has excellent food. Even though I own Primo Pizza, I enjoy Sergio's food as well. I'm sure Ray Kroc occasionally ate at Burger King! You do need some variety in your life. If you're hungry and looking for some delicious Italian food, give Sergio's a call. I really enjoy their stuffed pizza. And if on occasion, you want a change of taste, feel free to call us at Primo Pizza. There are plenty of people who live and work in Barrington for all of the business owners to make a living if we provide a good, fairly priced product that our customers desire. There is no reason to have animosity among business owners. Ultimately, we will all benefit if we work together and help each other. That is also true in life! I hope this will end any attempts by whomever posed as me and posted the negative review with my name attached. If it was an attempt to cause a rift between Tony Dioguardi and me, it failed. Thanks for your...
Read moreDisrespectful to women! I, nor will anyone in my family ever return here. I have never been treated or talked as rudely to. As a former customer experience specialist in Las Vegas, where standards are set and exceeded, my jaw literally dropped on the phone at Tony's responses. Absolutely to regard for good business or just being nice. I was interrupted, talked over, told I was wrong and he could embarrass me and prove I was wrong... Is that really the response you want to have to your customers? I was calm, I didn't accuse anyone, there was simply a miscommunication about my order that I hoped to rectify. Nothing I said beckoned his response. Truthfully, they closed in 30 minutes and I doubt wanted to remake an order.
The timing was so unfortunate. I was having a girls night and raving about their pizza. Little did tony know I wasn't the only one who could hear him talking so disrespectfully and condescendingly to a female, to another human being. He just lost a lot of business. If you don't mind paying for that experience, their pizza is really the best pizza I have ever had, but will...
