KFC — Restaurant in Barstow

Very disappointed in the service and the food.

This is the only KFC in Barstow, and unfortunately, there aren’t many other options to eat here. When you see commercials showing hot, fresh, good-quality food, you expect to get that same experience when you walk in. But at this location, it’s nothing like what’s advertised.

The problem is that nobody seems willing to take the time to do the job correctly. Barstow isn’t that busy—so why not drop fresh chicken, biscuits, or sides when a customer asks? Most people would rather wait a few extra minutes for fresh food than be handed something that’s been sitting for 10 or 30 minutes. That’s not fresh. Fresh means straight out of the fryer, drained properly so it’s not greasy, and served right to the customer.

I go to this KFC often, and I’ve noticed if you go through the drive-thru, you usually end up with older food because they assume you won’t come back to complain. The only way to guarantee a decent meal is to go inside, request fresh food, and watch them make it—which shouldn’t be necessary just to get the quality you’re paying for.

Employees need to understand that their paycheck exists because customers keep coming back. If people stop eating here, jobs will be lost. All it takes is doing your job the best you can and serving...

The manager Jose is a complete joke own a few farm’s in ky and eat at kfc 1 in Corbin ky at least once or twice a month and for your manager to sit there and lie to me over the phone about what he could and could not do on an order placed online that was incorrect as a complete joke. maybe your store policy but trust me KFC and Kentucky is able to correct and cancel an order online. That is incorrect so you’re unwillingness to help your customers knowing that they were driving 37 miles from Fort Irwin which means they’re active duty. Family is completely nonsense. No wonder why people don’t wanna leave the fort to go into Barstow...

Nancy, Joanna and Gilbert were phenomenal!! My family of 8 stopped by for lunch on our way to Las Vegas and we were BLOWN away by the service. OMG. Never have we felt such an experience at any restaurant, let alone at a fast food spot. We have been travelling though the US over the last 10 days and the staff at this KFC blew us away. They stopped by our table many times, and made sure that not only were we enjoying our meal, but went above and beyond to replace leftover chicken with warm pieces, and even got a cake for my mom’s birthday!!
