Los Alazanes Mexican Food — Restaurant in Barstow

The food was ok not great so not a place we will visit again. The cashier couldn't even crack a smile to great you. She was unfriendly and when i told her I need more time while my husband was in the restroom she looked at me like i had bothered her from doing something more important. There was no one behind us at this moment. When we finally ordered I waited to see if we were going to get our drinks and when she didn't seem to give us any direction I took my family to sit. While I used the restroom she had brought our drinks to the table. When our food was ready the meat on my tacos was cold and a little dry but my sons fish tacos was good and hot and my husband breakfast burrito good aswell. The tortillas on all out meals tasted good almost like they made them on site. The restaurant itself was clean but they seemed un prepared for they day because it was around 3pm and all the salsas and other condiments were not out in the self serve station. All the womens stalls were empty of toilet seat covers and the mini trashcans that I assume all went in each stall were lined up outside of the stalls. When we went to toss our trash they only had one trashcan and it had been pulled...

Stopped here and went in to order so I could also use the restroom. It's a little over the half way point on my 4 1/2 hrs drive. Not being familiar with the menu since I've never been here before, I discussed with the cashier what I wanted on a burrito. She said she would add cheese and lettuce as I requested on an asada burrito. The receipt also indicated asada burrito. I left and headed back onto the interstate. After getting on the interstate, I started to eat and immediately discovered that I received something completely different. I got a chicken burrito that had cheese (at least that was right) and French fries. Completely different than what I ordered. Thankfully I also got a quesadilla since the butmrrito was horrible and went uneaten. I would've gone back be by the time I realized, I would've had to continue miles ahead to get to the next offramp and go all the way back. Seriously, a completely different burrito. How hard is it to made a burrito with the correct meat. And French fries on a burrito, who the heck does that! Should've realized when there was only 1 table in the entire place occupied and no drive thru activity. Will not...

I really hate to give a one star review, especially to a family restaurant my coworkers used to love. However, this needs to be known. After eating here the other day, my coworker and I both got food poisoning. Now both of us have an above average immune system and typically never get sick when others do. But this time that didnt matter. He started vomiting 15 hours after and I did 18 hours after, however, we had no food in between. I am still vomiting and feeling miserable 5 hours later. I got the beef enchilada plate and my coworker got the pork chimichaunga. I really hope they clean up their act for the sake of their business, but I will not be back. You would think that a family run business would hold their customers health to a higher standard, but I suppose hard times forced them to put...
