I love these smoothies! However, I do not feel that when driving through the drive-thru I should have to go out of my way when paying with a credit/debit card have to punch accept 25%tip or push the button down to decline to tip or customize. I'm sorry but what happened here! I'm expected to tip before I even recieve my purchase and know if it's good or not? I'm expected to tip you for handing to me through a window!? I'm not in your restaurant making a mess and having food delivered to me and taking up precious space in your building and then expecting you to clean it up! So why would I tip you!!!. I feel this is rude and expected and seriously takes away from this business. I'm insulted that you feel I should tip you for coming to your drive thru and buying your food. If I'm not mistaken even if I came inside I would still have to clean up after myself. At almost 6.00 a smoothie I feel the company should be tipping there workers in a little more pay maybe and leave the customers alone with that drive-thru tip mess. My husband and I went on opening day during their 3pm to 5pm all smoothies for$1.99. Well, we were charged the regular price of $5.49 each. When I asked about, the young lady I asked went and got someone else. A young man, who I am assuming was the manager, came over and acknowledged that the error was theirs and he apologized. However, he could not refund any money I was overcharged. Instead he gave me coupons for what he explained was a deal, a 99¢ smoothie on our next visit. That would have been great but to get the 99¢ smoothie you have to purchase a sandwich, wrap, or salad. I would have preferred my money back because this is just a push to get people to buy more. Read moreOrdered via drive-thru and were the only customers ordering at the time. Waited no less than 10 minutes to receive order that was just sitting on the counter. I attempted to get employees attention and was completely ignored. Once she finally opened the window I simply inquired about my order status. She very rudely said the cook had just completed the order, even though I saw it sitting on the counterfor some time. The blonde haired young girl proceeded to try and intimate me by staring me down. She was extremely snippy and rude for no reason. After this interaction I attempted to contact the manager on shift and was again greeted by the rude employee who claimed she was the manager but refused to give me her name. I am very disheartened by the service I received today and I hope in the future no customer is treated this way. I love the tropical Smoothy Cafe but will not be returning...
