Something more than a Wing!
Chef Flavas brings a little bit of Urban Food Fusion to Memphis,Tennessee's hot wing scene.
A little Asian Arabic Afro-Am menu choice may have the typical, regional chicken wing "orderer" at a level of all day choice making, but I was ready off the bat!!
Give me the Shawarma!!! All they (Flavas) gotta do for those the like of moir is add Calzone and Gyros to the menu and they have a loyal customer and dedicated dine-in dude 🤗
Being a newly established (I do not know for how long) eatery, one can give a pass for atmosphere. But the reason why many of us spend money to eat is... for the food. Environment:☆☆☆☆
And it (the catfish, egg rolls [steak and chicken] and aforementioned shawarma was right on point. Food ☆☆☆☆☆
Only issue (from the review rubric) was service. Fries were requested to get servi3d crunchy/crispy and it may be that the fry person was a bit over-zealous in getting the ticket completed,as the fri3s had little to no "snap" to them; and the cup for beverage had to get requested versus given at purchase time. Service ☆☆☆☆
The name Flava... fits. The food was fantastic and one may easily have the ability to see that this Chef means business in Memphis♡♡♡ Voila (No...
Read moreCame back home for an emergency visit and was pleasantly surprised to find this place. My friend and I were on the hunt for good breakfast and we definitely found it. It was super crowded but the aroma drew us in. Even with the crowd what truly made me stay was the diversity of the crowd and the friendliness of everyone around. We ordered catfish and grits with pancakes. HEAR ME WHEN I TELL YOU THIS WILL BLESS YOUR SOUL!!! It was worth the wait. If you don’t like grits or fish or pancakes, you will after eating here. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted like heaven. On top of that the service and conversation were amazing. This is truly a gem. I come home probably once a month but have never had a reason to go through that part of Bartlett. While I’m here this trip, I will be going back for lunch and dinner. And when I return next month, I will intentionally stop by Chef Flavas. They make home...
Read moreI went here today 09/05/2025 after hearing good things about them. I tried the shrimp n grits and it was very basic. Fish was fried perfect golden brown but was tasteless. The grits where bland, nothing to talk about or recommend to anyone. I'm use to eating "Broken Egg" shrimp and grits with Gouda cheese on top and omg they have the BEST shrimp n grits I've ever had! Maybe that's what messed my taste buds up, my expectations where really high but for a place to have the word "flava" in the name they had no flavor in the food. If you someone that don't like seasoned flavorful food then you will love this place. The people where nice and friendly, the price is ok, not cheap but not too high. Lastly, let me say don't go off of how a picture look. A plate can look sooooo good but taste...
