I came Alone for a lunch …was on the phone talking to a friend…a lady comes by and started vaccuming by me as I’m just getting to eating for about 3 minutes straight … if I wasnt striving to be righteous I wouldve Walked out without paying…
didnt get checked on but once …waiter would just stare at me a few times from a distance
when he came with my ticket I asked Him if I can Take off the $6.99 nasty queso he chuckled at me and shook his head …..the nice hostess took it off for me since I hadnt Touched it…
he came back game me my final ticket it was $14.98 and had his hand out for my card…I asked him for a togo drink then gave him my card and ticket …he came back with my drink n I signed my receipt no tip…I say Thanks and as I’m gathering my belongings he flips open the ticket book thing and says “oh no tip” I said Oh no sir thanks tho.. he goes “so no tip” I said No no tip he laughs and walks off and proceeds to tell the other waitress about how I didnt Tip him then as I’m walking out he goes to the table where a fist just sat at and gives her chips& salsa, slams it down kind of and starts speaking Spanish about no tip to the waitresses near him (place wasn’t crowded at all) the customer sitting down says “oh wow sir you scared me” smh

Read moreI'll be honest, our fav Mexican restaurant had a really long wait & we were hungry and had a hankering for Mexican food. We were looking for another place to eat and impulsively pulled in. We've lived in Bartlett for decades, but for some reason never eaten at Los Pilares. We were surprised at how large and nicely decorated the dining area was. The strip-mall facade had us fooled. I wanted to try a few different things, so I ordered a combo meal with a beef enchilada, chile rellenos and a taco. The hubs ordered a chimichanga. We also ordered queso and hot salsa for appetizers. The chips and salsa were great. The chips were perfect, nicely thin. The salsa was some of the best I've eaten and I loved that it wasn't loaded with cilantro. The queso and homemade hot salsa were also excellent. Hubs thought his chimichanga was better than our favorite place. The outside was crispy and it was stuffed full of goodness. The chile rellenos was probably our favorite of everything we tried. I'm gonna say, I feel like we've cheated ourselves for not eating here sooner. The serving sizes were generous and the prices, on point. We will be back. If you found my review helpful, please tap the heart and let me know....
Read moreWe have been going to this location for years, however the service has been on a decline. After our past experience we will not be returning to this restaurant. Our server was clearly more interested in talking to his friends at another table and we were all but completely ignored and treated as though we were an annoyance to him. We ordered queso and had to remind him (again he acted annoyed), we had to get up from the table to find him for a refill as our glasses had been empty for almost 10 mins, only for him to give the task to another server who came to our table and said “sweet tea” (also in an annoyed manner like the other server) and set the glass on the edge of the table and walked off. When we confronted the manager about the service, his response was “oh well”. There are plenty other good Mexican restaurants in the area. Don’t waste your time...
