Ordered the nachos with steak , I got a bowl of set up with chips in it and burger meat instead of steak , had to order a side of chips si I can make it a nacho bowl the crunchy tacos were okay it actually came with steaks that I ordered , so food was okay but service is horrible im a gm at a restaurant that runs 135 servers and I have never seen that in my place, maria out serve started off okay although she did offer me a drink that they were out of so I ended up drinking water , but once she took our food order never seen her again other than the counter when I had to pay , I get it you have to pay by the counter but if I ask for the check would have been nice bringing it to me , when I was ready to pay and thats why I write this review I wasn't presented a check i was just told how much is it and I was thinking okay thats sounds about right so I didn't request a check but once I paid and I left the restaurant instead of 39 dollars my card was charged 45 something so I went back and asked for a receipt and a detailed check so maria decided to tip herself after I left the restaurant with 5 bucks , when I confronted with her she said that the tip is already included and it adds it automatically, i asked an other server that is the top included she automatically said no ; so I went back to maria and asked her why did she tip herself she said that the system does it which completely false , so other than maria was a shitty server she decided to steal from me , so when you guys go to the restaurant make sure you ask for a before and after check because clearly she was really comfortable stealing from me and look into my eyes and tell me she didnt do it , tried to reach a manager she said there is none which im pretty sure that was a lie too since no restaurant can be left without a manager but I was on vacation and already was pissrd that clearly she dont care stealing from people Managers should be on the floor and see what a hell is going on And make sure when you leave...
Read moreThis was my first time here, since the previous owners and restaurant name. We arrived for lunch at about 11:15. We waited a few minutes for someone to come from the back to seat us, but that was no big deal. We seemed to be their first lunch customers of the day. The person attending to us was very friendly and attentive throughout the meal. He welcomed us to stay a bit after we ate to visit, and we didn’t feel rushed to leave the restaurant which was nice.
The chips were warm and crispy as expected and served with green and red salsas. The red salsa was good, and the green salsa was great. I had the enchilada lunch plate with ground beef. The food was delicious and came out fairly quickly. It was not crowded which concerns me a little since the former restaurant struggled with a lack of customers. However, the government holiday was probably a factor. I found that the lunch plates/specials seemed reasonably priced. It was plenty of food without excessive waste.
The only thing that could have been better with the atmosphere was that the Bluetooth speaker was connected to the gentleman’s phone. When he was in the dining area it worked fine. When he would go back to the kitchen area, the music would get spotty and cut out frequently.
Overall, we had a good lunch, and we will return to try more things. Of the maybe 4 Mexican restaurants still open that I know of in Bartow, I would rate this one in a tie with my current top pick in...
Read moreMy wife and I had lunch today at Two Brothers, One Grill Mexican Restaurant, located at 890 W Main Street in Bartow. The place was not crowded, and we were seated immediately. Our server, Eric, welcomed us, delivered the complimentary corn chips and salsa, and took our orders. We ordered from the lunch menu. My wife ordered the Lunch Quesabirria, which was one quesabirria on a flour tortilla with rice, refried beans, diced tomato salsa and a side of birria broth. Since my wife cannot have dairy, Eric was happy to accommodate her request for no cheese or sour cream. I ordered the Enchiladas Lunch Plate, which is two enchiladas (either beef or chicken), rice, refried beans, diced tomato salsa and my choice of sauce (either red, green or cheese). I chose the chicken enchiladas with red sauce. These were lunch sized portions, just the right size to fill us up without feeling stuffed. My wife really liked the Lunch Quesabirria and said that she would defiantly order it again. Likewise, the Enchiladas Lunch Plate was very tasty, and I thoroughly enjoyed it and would order it again. Overall, we had a pleasant lunch and will be...
