Pioneers of heritage, culture, and economy. There is a history to this place we call Polk county. Historic Bartow's Fort Blount is a great outdoors lunch in area directly next to the courthouse. The town's Farmers Market is hosted here every Wednesday up untill about 2 pm, also extremely convenient for walking the main street...

Nice little gathering park. Went to the farmers market here, however it was so small that even though I was ready to spend money, there was nothing of interest there for me. Their were several vendor selling dog toys/treats, but only one vendor selling produce and one vendor...

It's ok. Nothing much here but there are a lot of history plaques, many of which are not accessible to read. The best feature is its front-on view of the old courthouse. The clock bell tolls the number of the hour on the hour. I don't think it tolls on the half hour...
