I am very disappointed in Unfiltered. Today was the last strike. If you want somewhere cool to hang out or meet up it is beautiful. The atmosphere is what keeps drawing me back in. The idea is wonderful, the execution is subpar. The coffee is mid or miss while also being expensive. I wouldnât mind the price if the drinks werenât consistently bad, poorly made. I wouldnât mind the mistake if I wasnât treated like a problem for addressing the issue. Usually I just drink it and donât return but I want to love Unfiltered so I have given them chance after chance. The one time I did request a remake the barista argued with me and repeatedly rolled her eyes. I asked her to remake my espresso drink because she served me dead shots. I know they were dead because I watched her let them sit while she and her coworker played on her phone. When I tried it and it was dead I asked for it to be remade. She argued about what I had watched with my own two eyes. Instead of correcting her mistake and doing better she repeated the same mistake and gave me another terrible, bitter coffee. Just really poor, unfriendly, unprofessional service. No one there has ever gone out of their way to be warm or inviting. Today my husband got us drinks there again. This time neither of us drank it. We poured both out immediately. It tastes like they used hazelnut artificial sweetener in our white mochas. Iâm allergic to artificial sweeteners and I can taste/tell immediately when itâs in my food or drinks. Itâs ridiculous to pay this much for repeatedly having to trash your drinks. So my suggestion is better training on making drinks (and the dangers of allergies/food sensitivities/diabetes), hire people who drink and know coffee and who try to smile and act like you want customers. I wanna see yâall succeed. The place is beautiful, I can tell the owner has heart. This isnât so much the business as the people who they have making their products and interacting with their customers. Itâs lacking pride in their product and warmth in their...

I was very excited for Unfiltered to open to have a fun coffee shop to go to, and an art studio upstairs. I know it was a rough start of opening and COVID restrictions but in October I reached out to see if Unfiltered had any activities for a group of mom friends to get out of the house and have fun. We scheduled a night out the first Friday in December and were giving options of different price points for food and activities. We met in the middle price point and were told we would have heavy hors d'oeuvres and drinks(water and teas) to go with the art project. Great! The week before we were also contacted to see if we wanted to do a marketing photoshoot before or after the art project and that we could keep the photos when completed. We decided on before the art so that after the art any of the ladies were welcome to head out and not wait for photography.
When we showed up on time the photographer was not notified that we were doing the 'before' so we had to wait longer for her to show. We also ended up with 15 pastries for 13 ladies. I would not call that "heavy hors d'oeuvres". The art project for the necklaces was fun but one lady had issues with hers and was told that they would fix it and it would be ready the following week.
Fast forward to the week before Christmas, and the week after Christmas and several emails and texts and no response on pictures from the evening out or the fixed necklace that she paid 35.00 for.
I would not recommend any activities or venues at this time at this location. The food is ok (but a bit overpriced), but it was fun getting together with a group and relaxing. However, if you're looking to do that I would recommend a different location.
Update: 1/25/2021 received necklace 2 weeks ago and pictures changing my...
Read moreStepping into Unfiltered Coffee House in Bartow felt like coming home! As a transplant from Brooklyn, I've been missing that cozy, neighborhood cafe vibe, and Unfiltered absolutely nails it.
I just had a regular coffee today, but the atmosphere alone was enough to win me over. The space is beautiful, with a cool, eclectic decor that instantly puts you at ease. I settled in with my laptop and got a solid hour or two of work done, but honestly, I could have stayed all day!
It's clear that Unfiltered is more than just a coffee shop; it's a community hub. The friendly baristas, the comfy seating, and the overall ambiance make it the perfect spot to relax, work, or catch up with friends. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu, especially their specialty coffee drinks and pastries.
If you're looking for a coffee shop with character, charm, and a touch of Brooklyn cool, Unfiltered Coffee House is the...
