I have always taken my children to the Dining Hall at the AFB I was stationed at. As a Supervisor, I usually worked the next day so I wanted to spend the day with them. I cooked our family Thanksgiving dinner on the weekend.
The food at Pitsenbarger is very good. This year I took my Daught, Granddaughter & 2 Great-Grandchildren. We didn't go until around 2pm (1400) so the lunch rush was over. There was still plenty at the salad bar. There was a wide variety of side items including Shrimp Ceviche, Puddings, Pies, Cookies, Cakes, Turkey, Ham, Roast Beef, Glazed Carrots, Corn, Glazed Sweet Potatoes, Dressing, Mashed Potatoes, Corn Bread, etc. Overall the food was very flavorful. The ham was a little dry, but still tasty.
