I was in for the 1st time late last week....Coming from the Columbus area I wasn't very familiar with the town/area and I stopped off at several antique dealers along the way. Thanks to traffic and some construction and poor time management on my behalf I arrived maybe 10 minutes before they were to close. When I entered the building I told the employee I knew they were closing and I'd just take a quick peek and that being from out of town I apologize for not getting there sooner. He told me to please take my time and that he was planning to stick around a bit. So he basically allowed me to stay for about 45 minutes after close. I couldn't believe the kindness in doing do and I'll def be back. As for the assortment of vintage toys...they have a great deal of what seemed to be 90s/early00s/current figures on card that took up nearly an entire wall. Prices seemed pretty fair. I'm a reg vintage toy hunter and have hit and hit many local places weekly so I'm often looking for the best bargains I can find and I was not disappointed with Time Warp. I got a carded NightForce Beachhead G.I. Joe figure for $20 and I've been looking for it for a while! I got a carded Bandai Thundercats figure from '09 as it's a line I've just begun collecting and a newer RedSkull from a Captain America line. I think all in all it cost me $50 or so. Very good deals. Wrestling Figure fans would be happy as they have a LOT of wrestling figs. Not many, or at least from what I saw, Mint Loose Complete figures from older lines THOUGH I was permitted to go through their G.I. Joe figures that are almost complete and they said they were changing how they sold that type of figure. The owners def seem to be the type to go out of their way to make sure youre happy and any negative reviews make me lean towards dishonesty or personal gripe. From my understanding this is a father/son/son business and the gentlemen I encountered was one of two sons and he couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating. I will absolutely be back soon! I'd def recommend Time Warp for the casual toy fan of your into Wrestling or SuperHero stuff, especially from the 90s and I'd recommend it to the hardcore collector if youre looking for that one piece that's alluded you and for a...
Read moreI understand its a business and I get that they have to make money but they low balled me on three of my figures I was looking to sell. I'm a avid collector I keep all of my figures and the original packaging in pristine condition. They like to throw around the word "used" to bring down the value of your item. One of the items I wanted to sell was purchased brand new for $750 and only 1500 were made and is now only available through third party sellers for $1500-$3500 for mint condition with the original packaging and brown shipping box which is what condition mine is in. I asked $1000 for it, honest asking price Id made money from my initial purchase and they have plenty of head room to sell it for a profit they offered me $400 dollars!! $350 dollar hit from my original purchase because they said it was used. I unfortunately had to take a loss on one of my figures because I needed the money sold it to them for $80 less then what I bought it and $169 dollars less then what sells for third party its insulting. Other than that fast response on fb messenger , neat little store, most items not marked with price indicative of deceptive selling
As per his unprofessional condescending response stay away he's bad...
Read moreOver half an hour inside waiting to buy some items, looked at by cashier who did not acknowledge my existence. He was too busy telling customers who had already checked out mind you, the post of the Blues Brothers. I hope he (dealt with before and know he runs the place) knows he just lost out on a large amount of purchases for having horrible customer service skills. He should not own a business if he can not run the business. Avoid like the plague. Not worth the trip at all.
Added Edit as of November 5th 2020: The owner apparently has me confused with someone else completely as I was solo in the shop. The older gentlemen at the door did greet me. The younger guy never did. I am glad that owner decided to call me childish (and that I ranted and raved, not sure what he means by that. I just left the store and went to the Halloween store. Literally not saying a word.) As for how he said it went down, if that is how he runs his business that is great. He obviously has some good reviews as well as bad ones. However to decide to call me names while obviously confusing me with someone else causes me to definitely think twice about doing business here, but that is my opinion. Good luck...
