A Rollercoaster of Flavor – Buckle Up! 🎢🍝🍕
First off, let me just say—the service? Immaculate. Over the phone and in person, it was 10/10. Friendly, attentive, and just good vibes all around. The place itself is clean and cozy with that classic small American-Italian joint charm. I was half-expecting to see someone’s Nonna stirring sauce in the back. Only thing missing? A little background music. Nothing wild—just something to set the pasta mood. 🎶
Now for the food...
Artichoke Spinach Tortellini with Shrimp: The sauce? CHEF’S KISS—a solid 9/10. Creamy, flavorful, everything you want. But then the pasta showed up like, “Hey, I forgot how to pasta.” Overcooked and under-salted. 😩 Overall? A respectable 7/10 but it had so much potential.
The Pizza... Oh, the Pizza. Let me take you on a journey. I ordered a simple cheese pizza—should’ve been a slam dunk. But no. It turned into a full-blown OREGANO APOCALYPSE. The crust? OH. MY. GOODNESS. Soft, crispy, perfect. 1000/10. I almost cried. The cheese? Glorious. 10/10. But then the sauce came in like that one friend who doesn’t know when to stop talking. Oregano. Oregano everywhere. Like… drown-your-taste-buds-in-a-herb kind of oregano. And I love oregano! But this? This was oregano with a vengeance.

I ordered some food to go, customers service is still going strong, and the food has not skipped a beat. The person on the phone was upbeat and when I received my order, everything was there. Food is still great and the portions are enough for two meals for me.
It doesn’t look like an Italian restaurant from the outside. It is a casual dining experience filled with locals. Restaurant is clean. Service was quick. We were greeted within thirty seconds of sitting down. They have fresh brewed sweet and unsweetened tea. Food presentation was nice and came out in a timely manner. This place was packed out and our food still made it to our table quick. Mama Mia! (Italian man voice) portions are big and the price is fair. This is my go to spot to wear casual clothes ( meaning my elastic band pants so I can overeat- no judgement ) and eat some...
Read moreLooking for a new hamburger? For the first time, I had the Rex today at the bistro. An Italian play on an American staple. This burger had a meatball tasting patty but was also served with several Italian meats, and lettuce tossed in a light vinaigrette (which was excellent) and finished with a Parmesan like cheese. Wow !! It was really good.
Even though the bread looks dry in the pictures, it was good.
I ordered the pesto mayo on the side, because I'm really not a mayo fan. I will say that the pesto mayo was very good, and a good compliment to the burger.
The chips were fresh, dry and crisp, and had tasty unique Italian seasoning, but like any homemade chip, they had a slightly dark flavor. I like chips more like lays or even Zapp's.
I have eaten here several times, and I return because I am so impressed...
