Generally, I donāt like ordering food at the drive-through. Well, really I have a problem with ordering food at most fast food restaurants. The reason for this is that I have noticed a certain disconnected other-worldly state of mind in most of the young staff at these establishments. Itās as if they come from somewhere other than earth each day to earn their pay and they really donāt like dealing with earthlings. They are known not to engage in conversation or to respond at most request or questions. In fact they tend to gaze right through you if you speak at all to they and anger is stirred up if a mistake is made and you opt to require that the error be corrected. Sometimes you are spoken to rudely, your order is treated as if an animal ordered it and care is not required at all. But one of the worst things is that sometimes the food is made to be substandard because of time that it took to correct an issue or mistake that they made and no fresh food is issued to you. I have seen dreadlocked scalps being scratched during the preparation and bagging of my meal. I have seen and heard many arguments between employees during hours of operation while waiting on my order and to top it off; the entire staff took part in the brawl by leaving their stations and causing a stoppage. Managers cannot control the actions of their staff most of the time. Staff often times are aloof. I am also shaken to my core when ordering and have to share the counter with a few roachās gingerly passing by; on their way to a more pleasurable eating station in the establishment. I have to say that all of these things can paint a big picture about Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, but the worst that I have been incensed was about four or five years ago when I was made to choose to drive an elderly 95 yr old family friend to who had out of the goodness of his heart, offered to pay for a meal for my motherās birthday treating the whole house to a meal. I drove him to my second choice of stores which was the store on Burbank at Bluebonnet. The reason it had been my second choice was because I had already experienced too many questionable things at the Staring Lane store that I could not bare to go back there. Some of the questionable things were already included in this story. Well, the Burbank store was crowded and unorganized, and the situation played out as if the daily rush could not be handed most of the time. Of course as a rule they had no spicy white meat and there would be a wait. I was okay with that; but having worked in the fast food industry 30 years ago I no that each day see the same type of crowd depending on if an event is also happening; and on those days good management would prepare and cook accordingly. My 95 year old family friend; who is no longer with us (God rest his soul) was made and I repeat made to wait for over an hour in the car while I wait on the white meat to be cooked. But, my order was skipped over at least three times and given to otherās who came after me and also ordered white meat. āMr. Copeland is also gone now, but I just know that the current state of his Louisiana Kitchen is not the restaurant that he...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy kids beg to go here but I will not go here again even though this is 2 mins from my house. There is always a wait. Waited in drive through for over 15 minutes from the time I started paying attention and that was after I had been there awhile. Only 2 cars ahead of me and I was there at a non-peak time of around 2:53pm. Everytime I go here there is a tremendous wait for the chicken tenders. Today one of my kids wanted popcorn shrimp and so while the chicken tenders were ready for a change we were waiting for quite some time for the shrimp. I finally went in to expedite the order. Got my 3 meals and left. Got about 2 blocks at a light and decided to check orders to find one order was wrong (fries not mashed potatoes) and the fries were literally ice cold. They had absolutely no warmth or I would have made my kids eat them and forgo the mashed potatoes. Drove all the way back and complained and the lady at the window, while nice, made nothing but excuses. She said they were understaffed but there was plenty of chicken and hardly anyone in the store! That could not account for the cold food! Got home to find that two orders were hot (the popcorn shrimp and chicken tenders) but the 2 piece white meat chicken meal that the fries were in was literally cold cold cold. How could this be so cold when under warmers??? They must have packed it before the 15 min wait for the popcorn chicken and that is why the fries (although wrong side!) and the chicken were so ice cold in this meal! There are always employees laughing and talking and usually of the 4-5 employees working only 2 are usually working! Boycott this location and go to the one on ONeal - they are usually...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolute PITIFUL and trashy location. Employees, (all of em even the manager) are trash at their jobs, rude, my daughter and I went through the drive thru on a Friday, had to come inside because the ādrive thruā was down, (which letās be real how does that happen?) just to be served $50 worth of COLD FOOD because Martin Brower was bringing them their truck and they ācouldnāt drop chickenā it was late at night, but we called and the manager said she would give us a refund if we came with the receipt, it was too late so we called the next day to which we were told ābring the food backā itās old, we tried not to worry about it, but Monday decided that was too much money in this economy to walk away from. We brought back the food (again old and had been thrown away) WITH the receipt just to be argued with to the DEATH about OLD, COLD, CHICKEN, tell your 50 year old women to grow up and get a better job, itās not coming out of your check, talking about sum ājust lie and stealā this location needs to be shut down....
