This little joint exceeded my expectations with the food. Funny enough I was heading out of my car to do my laundry at Cyclone which is practically next door. I smelled this incredible smell of sauce and what I thought was burgers or something steaming hot with seasoned cooked meat. Well sure enough, after I put my clothes in the dryer I did as the saying goes, "follow your nose". I went in, and the young lady at the counter was friendly with a warming smile ready to let me taste the different sauces they had to offer for their wings when I just asked how hot was HOT of their sauce options. I appreciate her for that. Made me feel comfortable and curious to try their wings with one set dipped in HOT sauce flavor and another SPICY LEMON PEPPER with their seasoned fries. The host—Karrington, if I recall correctly—was very friendly and offered helpful suggestions, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the positive experience ended there. While waiting for my food, I noticed that the booth I sat in had crumbs left behind from the previous guests. Additionally, the table was quite wobbly and appeared to be missing bolts, which made it uncomfortable. As for the food, I believe it had potential, but the chicken was tough and unpleasant in texture. It seemed as though it may have been refried or overcooked. I’m not sure if this was an off day for the kitchen staff, but based on a colleague’s recommendation—who claimed this place serves some of the best wings in town—I had high expectations. The service sucked I ordered online and apparently when you order for pick up it comes up as DoorDash. Didn’t find that out until waiting 35 minutes and now it’s been an hour while I’m sitting in this establishment writing my review. Gave them my name and verification code when I came she said only the name shows up not the code lol. Instead of serving me first for inconvenience they proceeded to feel bothered by me by asking for my food still remaining calm specifically the women Spanish looking women with the glasses and before anyone says anything I’m Puerto Rican just had to describe whole it was.
