I had a great experience at this restaurant! The food was steaming hot, freshly made just for us. I really appreciated the family-friendly vibe, especially in such a busy area like LSU. Even with all the traffic, the relaxing dining space offered a nice change of pace. While seating is somewhat limited, there was still plenty of room to feel comfortable. The owners are truly wonderful people who genuinely care about their food and customers, just as much as they do about their family and business. I ordered the spicy shrimp with mixed vegetables and extra gravy, along with lo mein noodles and a non-pork egg roll. My business partner tried the sesame seed chicken with egg fried rice. If you are a college student, or just someone wanting to get great food at a great price, this is the place for you. I have been coming to this for the past 5 years and have never been disappointed once. The lunch buffet is great as other users have mentioned, and if you are not ordering lunch, the rest of the menu is very good. I have had most of their dishes and they do not disappoint. The pork dumplings are particularly tasty. Also, if you are ordering takeout it's always "10 minutes" to be ready over the phone, and most of the time, outside of their big lunch and dinner rushes, it is pretty on point. We orderd all VEGETARIAN food and somehow the main dish had pork in it. When I called back to complain they were 5 minutes from closing and did not offer to remake it for us because of this. Instead told us we needed to make the journey back to them and receive a refund for just the one dish. We weren’t given a receipt and I feel like it was very instructional because we were told she “misheard us”. We spoke clearly, and stresthe word “Vegitable” when ordering.
