Being from the Morgan City area, I usually like going to this particular Taco Bell over others in the area. It's nice to see familiar names on the jerseys hanging on the walls and feel like I'm supporting my hometown. But lately, this place has gone downhill. I will point out that the building is kept in really good condition for a fast food place, with nice furniture and TVs and it's usually pretty clean. But that's about all it has going for it now. This morning on my way home from taking care of an ICU patient, I decided to give the new breakfast menu a try. I went through the drive-thru. First I was told that they don't have any biscuit tacos (which are a big part of the breakfast menu. I was told they did have some regular breakfast tacos ready, but those didn't seem appetizing to me. So I asked for an AM crunchwrap, thankfully they had those, and an orange juice to drink. I was told they don't have orange juice either, only regular fountain drinks. Not wanting to have Mountain Dew with breakfast, I decided not to get a drink at all. I pulled forward to see that another vehicle was at the window, so I pulled behind them and waited. And waited. And waited. It was at least a full 5 minutes. When it was finally my turn, the employee who opened the window wasn't the slightest bit apologetic for their lack of menu items or long wait time. As a matter of fact, she barely paid any attention to me because she was too busy laughing and joking with another employee. So I ended up sitting and waiting for several more minutes while the goofed off instead of getting my food ready. The crunchwrap itself is very good as I'm sure the biscuit taco would have been had I gotten one. But the service here is going downhill. I hope it improves in the near future so that I can continue going to this place. Otherwise I'll probably just head to McDonalds down the road...
Read moreThis location is currently inconveniencing the students that stay on campus at Louisiana State University that have to dine here due to its vicinity to the university. Today I walked to this location as usual to order from the lobby. This is usually a 15-20 minute walk from the South end of campus. However, today I could not complete an order because of a sign on the door that read "Due to scheduled maintenance and repairs, the lobby is currently closed, Please visit us in our drive thru, We apologize for any inconveniences." So as a customer, I responded by walking to the drive thru window as directed by the note. I waited for about 5-7 minutes before a male acknowledged me and stated that "I cannot service you unless you are in a car, it is our policy." I reminded the male worker that the notice on the door directed customers to the drive thru window to be serviced and that I was a student who dined there often but I did not own a car. I noticed that there was another customer sitting out by the front entrance to the lobby who was on a motorcycle eating from Taco Bell. He did not have a car either, yet he was able to complete an order and not I. A motorcycle is not nor has it ever been a car. Other workers were also in and out of the front lobby door which left me baffled as to why no customers were able to place an order to go from the lobby. If maintenance was being done, this should have been completed outside of scheduled business hours. It's very easy to tape off the area you do not want customers in so they can place an order if there are no exceptions being made for certain customers to enter the drive thru window. I had nothing of harm on my person. I was well put together and carrying a laptop bag for my school books. There should be no reason that I was not able to order after walking such a...
Read moreTerrible horrible experience at this restaurant, but it was not related to the food. The employees were extremely rude and even followed me into the restroom screaming at me saying, "Hey Play Boy the party is over and you gotta go" I was not causing a scene or doing anything other than enjoying my meal, and then attempting to use the restroom. If the dining room closes at 10 PM then why wasn't I informed nicely that it was closing, and they could have respectfully and nicely asked me to leave instead of following me into the restroom and calling me a "play boy" and screaming at me to "leave the restaurant." I am a 54-year-old white male, so what about me emits being called a "play boy" The employees refused to give me their names, the names of managers or the franchisee. I am not one to play the race card, but this was a completely racist encounter, and it won't end here, so get ready because I am in the local television business and bad press is coming, as well as filing harassment charges against this restaurant and these two employees. The location address is 4220 Burbank Drive Baton Rouge, LA 70808. I will be visiting this restaurant again tomorrow to speak with a manager-on-duty and to voice a complaint to the franchisee...
