Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

In my three years here at LSU this place has never been able to serve food on time. You will get food faster if you go to a sit down restaurant.

What prompted this review was I went last night and sat in the drive through that had lights on but nobody was manning it and nobody was on the other side of the mic. So i waited for a spot, pulled in, pressed the button immediately cuz i knew id have to wait ten minutes for someone to take my order, which is what happened. I mentioned in my order I had a free birthday shake coupon, the person on the other side was very confused. Said “tell your server” and then hung up. My server arrives after 15 minutes with my two small shakes, I tell her about the coupon. She says “you might as well not even redeem it now.” I said what? What do you mean? She said I should have told them when I ordered. I said I did and they told me to tell my server. 3 times she told me “well she was supposed to come out here and look at it.” I say “well can you just do it now?” She says “I’d have to get her to come out here.” I sit there in silence. She says “yeah i don’t know we’re really busy right now.” I just stuttered because the whole situation was so bewildering to me. So she walks away without saying anything. Comes back five minutes later having taken it off my order like she could have done the whole time. She doesn’t bother to count out cents in the change and give it to me, only the bills. I tell her have a good one and she doesn’t say anything back.

This whole time the employees are clearly not working... there’s three of them just chatting and yelling obscene stuff at each other and laughing outside my car. Food and drinks were good, as usual, but this was the first time stopping at this location. It was on the way home from my daughter's cheer practice at LSU. I picked her up a few minutes before 8, she was really thirsty, so stopped at Sonic because everyone likes their drinks. After pressing the button to give our order, I waited for what seemed like a LONG time. Finally, I don't know if someone did this on purpose or if there's a time limit, but instead of the sign at the stall reading, "Thank you for pressing the button, someone will be with you shortly" or whatever it reads, it was now read please press the button when you're ready to order, which it said after I pressed it the first time. So, I pressed it again. While waiting for the second time, I noticed the girl wearing the headset, who takes the orders, was standing at the car in the stall to my left, leaned up against the pole, laughing, and talking to whoever that was. I then notice a male employee talking to someone in the stall to our right. While we're waiting for someone to take our order, twice someone came to my car asking if I ordered whatever it was they were bringing out. Finally, at 8:20PM on Tuesday, August 27th, right after the girl goes back inside, she finally took our order for my daughter's soft drink. It took 20 minutes to get a soft drink. It takes 20 minutes for us to get from home to her cheer practice, and we pass by the Sonic on Perkins, between Bluebonnet and Siegen along the way. We could have waited, gone to that Sonic instead, and we would have been home and my daughter might have been finished with her homework while we were still waiting for someone to take our order at this Sonic on Burbank. If you're in the mood for Sonic and want to stop here, I recommend going to a different one, no matter where it is, because it'll be much faster...

As we ordered our food the guy answered very rudely as we were ordering for more than one person . As we got our food we had asked for ranch and when we opened it, it was sour and looked like it was left out in heat as it smelled horrible. We buzzed back in to just let them know that they should probably check it asked for some honey mustard. They began to argue with us for no reason as we were very kind. Then he brought out the honey mustard and we were going to show him what the ranch looked like and he didn’t bother to care. As we are pushing past it and eat our food. I found multiple hairs in my food that was clearing not mine because I have blonde hair. I would definitely like a refund or an apology because this was the upmost ridiculous service j have ever...
