I've been coming to monjunis for over 17 years and I love this place Tonight I ordered the Italian sampler. I arrived home and opened my box to find the portion to be very small . I was very disappointed but I thought I'll just call and I'm sure they will fix the issue . I spoke with a female manager and explained to her the issue , she told me I received the standard portion .and basically offered no solution. Poor management skills cost monjunis not only the loss of a years long a customer but I'll also inform my friends online of this and I can't say I'll have anything good to say.which I'm sure my friends after hearing of my experience they will not patronize monjunis. Miss monjunis Manger your failure to give good customer service hurts this business, as well as drives customers away, hopefully the owner will take notice and correct this .. It's sad because I really love monjunis and I've NEVER had an issue here until now . I definitely will not return , I'll spend my money at a restaurant that has good customer service and appreciates customers ,Instead of just blowing the customer off with a excuse. Remember we pay...

The waiter was first class. The place was clean and nicely decorated. But I am here to eat food. First brought out was red gravy with toast. The gravy was unusual in taste. Too much of something in it. Maybe oregano ,whatever it was over powerful. I can not say I tasted garlic. I spent $22 for shrimp fettichinee. 6 shrimp and pasta ammount that was that of a pancake. Pasta is cheap, why so little? The salad was extra small. Not far from looking like a coffe cup saucer.Very little Ceaser dressing to. Mainly tasted like lettuce. I paid $22 for that and it was on the lunch menu. I left hungary. There was one other table there. I do not know if they ran out of food but the lunch was sorry. It reminded me of a child's plate. Never again. If you like that red gravy you never had a good one. I have eaten ate The Village And Eurpoes back in the day ,no comparison. I suggest Gino's if you like this place. Then your will taste the difference and not leave hungry....

Went here for the first time for my son's birthday. It is a very crowded space as they are trying to fit as many people as possible.

Service is about average. Went without refills for a little while a couple of times. However we drink a lot and they were small glasses. But overall, she was very kind and got it done.

The food was good. My son enjoyed his spaghetti. Their red sauce is a bit sweeter than some places, but we all enjoyed it.

They do bring out bread, but we didn't know until after we ordered breadsticks, so we had LOTS of carbs. Haha.

They did bring a bread pudding, but they do not do anything as far as singing for birthdays, just in case you are curious. Haha.

Will likely return, but I definitely want to be sure it's during slower...

Unique place to go. A lot of different trinkets to look at instead of your awkward date while you wait for your food. They offer freshly brewed sweetened and unsweetened ice tea. The sauce is S W E E T; like you can envision grandma dumping sugar bag sweet. The sauce has a beautiful red color and isn’t too runny nor too thick. The lasagna hit the spot! One of the best ones around. Garfield the cat would be proud! The eggplant stack was also delicious. It was not greasy and had a crunch on the outside. It was not mushy on the inside, it was cooked just right. What was great about the appetizer is that we didn’t look like we were playing hot potato in our mouths. It was the perfect temperature. Oh and the complimentary bread was good.

Having lived in NY for 35 years, I acquired a taste for authentic Italian food. Which is hard to find here in Louisiana. Seen this place on a Google Search and my first impression was “Mom & Pop”. Which any good Italian restaurant in NY is. “Mom and pop” in NY, means made with love, family cooking. It is a term of endearment. That first impression was dead on! I knew I was in the right place when the Olive Oil and Vinegar for the bead as at the table waiting on me! And they have Cannoli’s !!!! I had the Lasagna, which came in the largest portion I have had here Louisiana. We also had a Sicilian Flat Bread, which was awesome. Yep, this is a NY style “Mom and Pop”, but one with a Louisiana flavor! Yeah, you need to go here!!!!
