Overall the staff is nice and this is in no way an attack on them rather it is a call for training and correction to senior management. Chicken Fingers were dry, small, and hard along with the fries and they were all overcooked and lacked flavor. The overcooked chicken fingers were very tough. It seemed like the fryers were too hot ( perhaps in an ill advised effort to cook things faster) or that the chicken and fries were being left in for too long either way restaurant standards and methods are not being followed. This equated into an inconsistent brand experience as also evidenced by other reviews. Workers seemed more concerned with the restaurants closing prep than working on quality customer experience and food presentation. It's sad to see a great location and restaurant not living up to it's brand and I hope it can be turned around as I am actually a big fan of Raising Canes, but at the same time I have to offer and honest review. Attached pictures tell the story. Pictures numbered in order of listing: picture #3) Food as advertised, pictures #'s 1),2),4), and 5) what was served, small overcooked portions that look like "chicken nuggets" and overcooked fries that all had a very bland taste, and picture #6) shows the tea machine not running and mixing tea resulting in poor tea flavor and a lack of brand experience consistency. The plastic fork in picture 5) shows it all, a small shrivelled hard and overcooked chicken finger looking nothing like what is advertised in the restaurant presentation picture shown in picture 4) and also very inconsistent with what has been served and expected in Raising Cane's restaurants. A restaurant is all about consistency and customer experience so I hope this review helps senior management regain this store and bring it in line with the brand. It's sad to say this at such a great location with so much potential not living up to...
Read moreAs a former food safety employee, I almost cried. I love Canes, 10years plus. I specifically ask if they can cook my chicken a bit longer due to "being RAW" inside of the strips on numerous occasions. That alone , upsets the stomach. The timer cooks the breaded part, but the inside is still undone. The employees must shake the basket, lift it up an separate the strips so they all can fry individually. I received partially raw chicken again tonight ... its getting out of hand. Someone has to (care) enough to know when something is undone. This has to stop 🛑 the young lady gets irritable with me as I'm trying to explain to her , look, the chicken be raw at times. Can I please have it well done. No go. Received the chicken an it was raw , you can tell just from the juice coming from the strip, buss it open, boom. Half way finished. 😩 Canes/ especially Lee Dr. Remember, you're not the ones eating the food you're serving at the moment 😭 be careful what you are serving to others to put in their body 😞and not catch an attitude because someone ask for their food in a specific way to their health needs. I would make your meal however YOU ask , without the attitude and faces. Went to another location, asked for the same thing, guy does it right, and buss the chicken open , DONE, no red, or juice/grease leaking. Showed him the difference so he can work with his employees on properly...
Read moreRaising Canes still delivers the fast food chicken tender meal that satisfies. Of course their limited selection menu helps in getting through what you'd like to order, but don't forget their tailgating menu (of course we're in the middle of a pandemic, so I question anyone trying to get that many chicken tenders). Their new drive-thru procedure has been handled really well over the months, although I wish they gave their workers a place to sit and take orders rather than standing the entire time when one of their workers are getting a customer's order.
My main, but small, complaint that I have for them is the unfortunate times when a part of the order has not been fully crisped. Of course, those who order from the drive thru has the small possibility of not having fresh and crispy food that you can sometimes get dining in, but double checking that the fries or whatever item that should be crispy can stay crispy when a customer finally gets the chance to eat.
Other than that small issue, Canes, both on Lee Drive, Perkins Road, and Government Street will always try to give you the quality of food you deserve (I apologize LSU Canes, I have not gone to...
