Food was delicious, however pricey. This can be a place where a person can get a meal for less than $20.00, HOWEVER, if you are purchasing a meal for 3 people, I ended up spending just over $75.00 with the tip included. Yet with the roast beef sandwich, I had expected the food to be least warm but the sandwich was cold and seemed perhaps premade as the bread seemed cold as well. Though the portion of roast beef was exceptionally generous! The sandwich would have definitely tasted better with the roast beef at a minimum of being room temp if not actually hot! I also ordered a ham sandwich, which I had again assumed would have been served either room temp or warmed, was also cold (as in straight from the ice box - just as the roast beef was) however, just as with the roast beef sandwich, the serving amount of actual ham present on this sandwich, made this sandwich at an extremely good price as both sandwiches had two to three times the amount of meat in them than any normal restaurant normally serves! When you receive either one of these sandwiches, at least the ones I received, did not appear to be a restaurant sandwich but a sandwich in which a (carnivore) type of individual who is making a sandwich at home would make - two pieces of bread and a lot of meat! What would have made these two sandwiches perfect would have been if they had taken the time to at least warm up the meat for 10-15 secs in a microwave! Still great sandwiches which we warmed up ourselves at home!! Now my girlfriend tried the Mediterranean food and absolutely loved it! She could not stop talking about how great the food was! Also another great item I enjoyed is the ability to order just a plain omelette with nothing but the egg and then add what you want in it. I ordered an omelette with chives and bacon in it and NO CHEESE! As I am a Native American and have a severe dairy allergy (yes I realize there is lactose intolerance but that is not quite the severity of my intolerances which is an allergy) just clarifying as I realize people will think one thing when it is another! I will just leave it at I was in an ICU when I was a child after being forced to drink cow's milk. Back to the omelette though, it was actually my first omelette and it was fantastic!! Also well worth the price! Though I did try French fries with it instead of breakfast potatoes, and did not care for the taste of the fries as the grease used was something I had never tasted when fries were cooked in it before. Overall, I give this restaurant 4.5 STARS out of 5. I took half a star off for the fries and cold sandwiches, and was somewhat shocked at the over all price. Still the food was excellent and the staff were extremely friendly!! Well worth the money!!
And as an added plus, just in case you are not aware : They also have a dedicated counter which has a freezer with various flavors of ice cream available. I do apologize as I am not familiar with what the prices are for ice cream. Just knowing they do sell freshly dipped ice cream is always a good reason to take your kids or just yourself in there, especially with school being let out for the...
Read moreThis is Port Richey’s best restaurant. No exaggeration. I have been to many others and they do not compare.
They have daily specials posted in the window and we have never been disappointed.
I highly recommend the fried haddock, butterflied shrimp and clam strips, the plain burger, egg salad sandwich, and eggs scrambled with cheddar cheese, bacon and toast, the lasagna, ice cream, and chocolate muffins. The Chocolate Mousse should be in the Guiness World Book of Records. It’s that good!
The owner and staff are truly wonderful. I take dad here on the daily and recently, we both had to wear a splint on one hand. The staff was amazing and helped us open mustard packets, coffee creamer and bottled coke.
This was exceptional service above and beyond the call of servers. I felt like they treated us like family.
The meals are priced very reasonably and costed a fraction of what you would pay anywhere else.
If dad can’t make it to the restaurant, (he’s 90) I order take out. I believe they also have services like door dash and uber eats.
Yesterday, someone asked me if they serve non-greek food as well. The answer is yes. They serve American and Mediterranean dishes.
My first caution: Don’t go at sunset until they get curtains. There is nowhere to eat without getting blinded.
My second caution: If you don’t eat here, you are going to miss out on a wonderful meal and...

There were 12 of us who visited the Mediterranean Diner today. Our waitress was wonderful! Great personality, attentive, funny and was very organized. The diner was pretty crowded, lots of chatter and happy diners. Our waitress took our drink orders then delivered them quickly. We selected our meals which came out rather fast, except for 3 of us. Others in our group began eating, all saying how good the food was. My meal arrived but the person seated beside me hadn’t received her food until we were all almost done with ours. We asked our waitress to send over the manager. We complained about the last guest having to eat after we’d eaten and that it would be fair to comp her meal. The manager did the right thing and comped her meal. And told us all we would all get a free desert upon our next visit. We were very pleased. There were a few issues with some of our meals, which were corrected. The food was very good, plentiful, reasonably priced, plenty of parking, kid friendly and wheelchair accessible. I definitely recommend Mediterranean Diner to anyone wanting to experience good food with a flair. We will go back because we were well taken care of. I would’ve given 5 stars but some in the group had issues with their meal. When we go back, I may change my...
