Had a party ordered $500 worth of food picked it up @4:30 & ate it at 5:30 with the proper sterno‘s & water pans (we all used to cater) so this isn’t our first rodeo. We called the next morning bc we were not happy with the food - chicken franchise had no lemon what so ever, the red bliss potato’s were not red and brown with spots throughout. The food was as undercooked & might have been sitting for days. After calling the owner she said there is nothing we can do over the phone to bring it down - we listened to her and brought all the undercooked food for her to see. She then was very mean and hostile towards us making a scene in her own establishment- then said there was nothing that she could do & wouldn’t give us our food back bc she was going to throw it out. We insisted she give it back. As she is pushing & shoving me out while carrying the food trying not to spill it. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment for catering at all. I’m appalled at how we were treated only by adhering to the owner asking us to bring the food down. DO NOT HAVE ANY CATERING DONE HERE- there are many more friendly owners who cares about the food that they let leave their establishment. The other workers were appalled at the owners reaction however they are used to it & understandable they...
Read moreThe food here is always good, however the service is just okay. You usually wind up having to track down the waitress to ask for more coffee or the check. The owner is not friendly at all and does not make an initiative to know her customers. She always has a frown on her face and is very disrespectful towards her guests. The last time I ate here I found a hair in my food. The owner did not even apologize about it and told me "I'll take $1 off your meal". Some people are just not meant to work in customer service and the owner of L Gourmet is definitely one of them.
Eating here in the summer is awful because their wall air conditioner barely works. I ate my breakfast today drenched in sweat- not very enjoyable. I think the owner needs to learn how to make her customers feel more comfortable in her restaurant, especially in the summertime heat.
EDIT: After reading the incredibly disrespectful comment the owner has left for my review, I hope even more people will see what kind of a miserable person she really is. Continue to treat your customers with such disrespect, and you will have no customers left. Check your reviews. I'm not the first person to notice your sour attitude towards others. You work in customer service. Act like it and show...
Read moreThis was a surprise and a pleasant one at that. The exterior doesn't stand out and were it not for my local friend I may not have discovered it. It was close to lunch time, but wanted breakfast until I saw they had cream of mushroom soup. I did still order the 2 eggs on a roll with pork roll and cheese. The soup was among the best I have ever had. No question. The sandwich was on a roll that I couldn't identify. It was slightly yellow like semolina bread or maybe an egg twist. It was good, but expected a hard roll. My friend had a more Italian themed sandwich that came with a side of pasta salad. She seemed to enjoy both. While empty when we got there, it wasn't for long. There is addition seating down the hallway and that room is very bright. We sat in the quaint and comfy front dining area. They do not have table service, but they will bring the food to your table. I expect to see this place again on subsequent visits and would recommend...
