My husband and I went here because of the 4+ rating. Everything sounded good, and I figured for the prices perhaps it would be really fresh and good, but it wasn't. They had a specials board up, my husband was going to get the grilled lamb and I was going to get the mango shrimp. They were out of both. I got the sweet and sour with pork and it was just okay. Not a lot of flavor other than sweet. I also thought, for the price, the pineapple would be fresh, but it was canned. My husbands food, I don't remember the name--meat and broccoli with rice noodles in black bean sauce-- was over soy'd so soy sauce was all you could really taste. We also got the fresh basil wraps, which were tasty, but the filling (salad) was under seasoned...I actually don't think there was any salt or pepper in there. Like someone else said, we ordered the cheese rolls and those were the best item, but they are advertised as having crab and shrimp and there's not a lot of that in there. And we were just expecting a lot more for the reviews and prices. I wouldn't rate this higher than any other average Joe Momma...
Read moreI had a really delicious lunch today with my two girls at this restaurant. Exploring Beaufort, we stumbled upon this lovely place tucked into a simple strip mall. The day was gray and cold outside, and the welcoming smells of spice and flavor that met us at the door were all about comfort. My girls ordered Yellow Curry (one with chicken, one with pork)- moderate spice, I had Drunken Noodles with chicken, mildly spicy. We started with chilled salads with ginger. So good, and very unique. The entrees were hot and spicy enough to warm our insides, and our server Brandy was friendly and helpful with I asked several questions about the dishes. A great selection, rich flavors, a comforting ambience, and wonderful service, I would highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you Yes,...
Read moreI purposely called an evening before my visit. I asked if they had gluten and dairy free options and was told most dishes were in-fact free of both. Problem is, very few dishes (mainly salads and some basic rice) were allergen free. After a lengthy conversation with three wait staff, my girl was finally able to order a dish. The food was fine but not worthy of 3 to 5 stars. The knowledge of the staff was very limited on the dishes. Just an FYI, coconut milk IS NOT DAIRY! Rice is NOT WHEAT! Soy sauce contains WHEAT unless it specifically states gluten free! A very sad and disappointing visit. On the other hand, the other Thai restaurant in town is very helpful, understanding, and knowledgeable and willing to help customers with life changing and...
