Urban Brew + Co. — Restaurant in Beaufort

I’m so disappointed in this coffee shop. I haven’t seen this guy before so if he’s new please coach him on good consistent customer service. (Tuesday, thin brunette man with glasses) No smile, no greeting. No, do you have a card? Just looked me over critically until I asked how his day was. I ordered the chai and avocado toast. He quickly dropped my chai off with no follow up or words. Just dropped it on my table. I gave him grace thinking that is just how he is, but then another woman came in and he was all smiles and friendly. I finished my chai and no update on meal. I waited patiently a total of twenty minutes then stood, gathering my bag. He watched me get up, dispose of my empty tea…again no update or acknowledgment so I left since I was uncomfortable by his behavior. I’m a store owner as well as a member of the chamber and I usually let things go but I feel the business owner needs to be aware of this as this can hurt your business. Love it! I work from home, so I really enjoy coming here to work for the day. I tend to frequent coffee shops a lot, and most local coffee spots always have great sugary pastries and greasy breakfast sandwiches and, as yummy as they are, it isn't super helpful when you are trying to make some healthier choices. So, I specifically love that this spot has a lot of healthier food options to choose from; I've had a veggie wrap and oatmeal from here, both great. Not super big in size, but it was all I needed. Only a few small cons I'd offer: the wifi is never strong (I have to end up using my phone's hotspot a lot) and outlet access is limited. There are at least dozen tables to sit at, but only 3 or 4 of the tables actually can reach an outlet. So if you are working here for a while and need a charge at some point, you have to kind of wait around for one of the tables to open up. But the traffic moves steadily enough that I've never had a problem claiming outlet...

Came to Urban Brew for my first time a few weeks and had an iced mariposa latte. It was AMAZING! A little pricier than I had hoped, but it was still really good. I liked it so much that I’ve been back a few times to try some new drinks, as well as some delicious avocado toast! Super comforting environment to do paperwork in and I love that they actually have outdoor seating with outlets (hard to find coffee shops like this) so I can work outside as well. The only downfall was when I came to work on homework during a hot day and wanted to sit inside for once. Only 3 small tables were full and I could not find another table with an outlet available to plug my laptop in. I asked the workers if there were any other tables available where I could plug my laptop in to do work, to which they kindly stated no.
