[39 Dollar Continental Breakfast for 2!?] Okay, I just want to say that this Hilton was not like other experiences we typically have with Hilton. My husband is a diamond member through Hilton rewards and we are constantly going to various hotels throughout the week, mind you for work. This one did not impress me. We have stayed at a Garden inn before, and it was leaps and bounds better. Typically, at Hilton hotels, they have a coffee bar out 24/7 so guests can have something to drink. We enjoy both coffee and hot chocolate offered at hotels, so it’s something we like to grab. There was no coffee bar out at around dinner time, only when we went down the next day for breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, it was subpar. Usually, Hilton offers a complimentary breakfast. Even at Garden inns we have stayed at, they are either complimentary or a VERY low fee ($5-10 MAX), and that was for made-to-order, delicious breakfast like custom omelets. This was not, they had a typical “hot” breakfast, which included potatoes, sausage, grits, eggs, you know, the typical hotel breakfast. None of it even tasted that good, very meh. Come to find out, there’s not even juice out like every single other hotel offers with breakfast. I’m approached by a lady well into eating asking if I’d like juice. No huge deal, but I prefer to get as much as I want at the dispenser. Husband grabs a cigarette, and the lady comes up again and places a check on the table “no hurry”. I was puzzled, I have never been given a check to pay for a hotels regular, continental breakfast, which wasn’t even that great, mind you. The whopping grand total was $39, yes, thirty-nine USD for 2 people to have a tiny pancake, a scoop of lukewarm grits and a sausage link. You can get a much better breakfast at any nearby restaurant. This was just a typical "hot breakfast" that every other Hilton gives you for free. The walls/ceiling have horrible soundproofing and all I heard everyday was loud thumping above, from others walking around. Ants galore in the bathroom, BIG ants. Anyways, the bed was decently comfortable. The shower had very little pressure/hot water, there was no shampoo in the shampoo bottle, either. Fridge was dirty and had several spills/drips on the side. Such a shame, we expect much better from Hilton given our many other positive experiences with this brand. We will stick to other locations from now on. The location is nice, lots of beautiful views of the marsh, but a shame the lack of amenities that they provide. Edit: They also have an extra fee because of the area it's in, and to park! Why don't they just roll that into the hotel price? I'm sure this Hilton rakes in 100's of thousands of dollars in these fraudulent fees. Edit 2: they have now charged my husband TWICE for breakfast (one with tip, and one without) when we only ate once. Never going to this hotel again. Edit 12/10, we decided to give them another try. Shower had no pressure. Bed was awfully uncomfortable, same with the pillows. Hairdryer was melted(?), bathroom floor was dirty and had someone else's hair all over it. Breakfast was subpar again, 17.95 "buffet" was just sausage, eggs and fruit, very tiny selection compared to what Hampton Inns have. I had the 2 eggs meal, ordered them fried. Baxon was crazy greasy. Lady yelled out my order to the cooks and said "scrambled, but fried". If you know anything about eggs, those are 2 different types. Scrambled and fried are nowhere near the same, unless there's some special secret way to cook scrambled that isn't also frying them in a pan. The texture of scrambled eggs nauseated me, but we had to leave for work. Definitely going to be avoiding this hotel

Great location convenient to downtown and many shops and restaurants. In my opinion for a Hilton property the hotel is in need of serious repairs and deep cleaning. Our two day booking consisted of a dirty room, less than hospitable assistance from the staff, having our room entered by employees in attempt to remove our belongings when we had a 2 day reservation and had stayed only 1 of the 2 due to an improper room reassignment. When my husband and I arrived at 9:30 pm after driving all day we were stuck waiting for an employee to come and check us and another guest in. The guest ahead of us had been waiting over 15 minutes and had not seen any employee, no response to the bell and the other staff not covering the front desk seemed to be unconcerned that a line had formed and noone was present. We ended up having to ring the hotel over the phone to get someone's attention for assistance. While we waited we were given front row seats of a serious eak directly over the bar in the lobby where large catering pans were placed on top of the cabinets with alcohol bottles below to catch the water. After getting checked in and going up to our room the conditions of the room were atrocious. We were booked in an accessible room despite not needing or requesting one. Given that there are normally not many accessible rooms it would be upsetting if an individual requiring that room could not book it because someone not needing those features was using it. Even worse the bathroom was filthy, hair clogged in the sink drain that you could visibly see the clog coming out from the drain plug. The toilet was also uncleaned with visible mold throughout. The shower stall was also extremely dirty, the full length mirror had spots, and the desk also had stains and hair all over it. When my husband went to speak to the front desk the receptionist told him they were completely sold out and they could attempt to clean it since that would be our only choice. When we arrived it was clear that the hotel was not anywhere close to capacity. It was already late in the evening, we were exhausted and I felt uncomfortable staying in that room, I definitely was not going to shower there and I began to grow concerned about the rest of the hotel that we couldn't see. For example, is the ice machine cleaned ever? How often are the in room air units cleaned and filters changed? If this is the condition of a room supposedly cleaned during and after every guest what shape is the kitchen kept? When we asked about switching to another Hilton property in the area we were informed that each location is a franchise and no further assistance was offered. By chance the GM happened to come up to the desk when we were trying to figure out what to do. He promptly offered to change our room and take care of the first night for the problems. We were very grateful for the option to change rooms after being told that would not be possible due to them being sold out. The next day due to the change or rooms our reservation was not properly recorded. We received a call at our important event which was the purpose of our trip from the staff wondering why we had left all of our belongings in the room. Our booking was for 2 nights, we had only stayed less than 24 hours. When they moved our reservation to the new room it was not done properly and somehow was only recorded for one day. Unless this hotel underwent massive changes it will not be one we will be returning to in the future. Completely disappointed in the quality and reputation I expect from a Hilton property.

We had such a lovely stay here! Everything was so clean and it is in such a great location. We had a long night traveling and found this Hilton on a whim while traveling with our two pups. Anyone traveling with restless dogs on a long drive knows the struggle of finding a pet friendly hotel for the night. One of our dogs is 105 pounds and the other is 20 pounds (maybe not even a dog, possibly a demon, still working that out). Even with our big boy and little psycho they were so incredibly accommodating and we really had such a wonderful rest and stay. It is incredibly pet friendly they even gave the pups little doggy gift bags. They have a bar area, and drinks you can purchase in the lobby as well, which is very nice after said long drive. We didn’t utilize the pool but it was a great clean little area. On another note we are also moving to the other side of the east coast so everything we own is packed in, and, on two cars. It was very nice to have a well lit parking lot and the staff assured us they keep an eye on everything as the front desk is facing the main lot. Finally we could get some much needed rest and not have to worry. My husband and I will definitely return to this location as we have family in the area.

I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Beaufort, South Carolina, and overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable experience.

Street parking was easy, and I entered through the side door and walked to the front desk. Although I had already checked in via the app, I stopped by to get a plastic key. The front desk experience was flawless—attentive, polite, and efficient. They recognized my Gold status, explained the perks, gave a rundown of the amenities including food and bar options, and were generally top-notch. Every front desk employee I encountered during my stay—three in total—was consistently helpful, professional, and polite. They each made a great impression, and it's clear there's a strong team in place.

My room was on the fourth floor—spacious, clean, and well-lit. It had two beds, a computer chair, a small desk area with outlets and USB ports, a TV, and a modern cabinet. The lamp by the window had a comfortable chair and ottoman beside it, with a mushroom-shaped table that made that side of the bed more functional. There was also a table between the two beds, so the left bed had tables on both sides—very convenient.

The room included a microwave, small refrigerator, a Keurig coffee maker, and an open closet with hangers, a luggage rack, iron, and ironing board. The foyer area had tile flooring, while the rest of the room was carpeted in standard hotel carpet—nothing remarkable. However, the hallway carpet on the fourth floor stood out with a beautiful, cosmic-style pattern that reminded me of the night sky. I usually don’t even notice hotel carpets, but this one was genuinely attractive.

The bathroom was especially impressive. It had extremely bright, flattering lighting with fixtures on both sides of the mirror and an additional ring light around the mirror. There was also a full-length mirror just outside the bathroom. Towels were thick and of good quality, and a hair dryer was provided.

Breakfast had some highs and lows. On my first morning, the buffet included bacon, eggs, grits, breads, oatmeal, grapes, and potatoes. However, the regular coffee was completely out, and I had to grab a bottled water from the cooler while staff worked to catch up. The server, who was also cooking and cleaning alone, was doing her best in a clearly understaffed situation. The front desk was engaged and helping however they could, and that teamwork showed throughout the property.

On day two, coffee was available, but the buffet trays were nearly empty when I came down. Offerings included grits, eggs, sausage, potatoes, and French toast—replacing the bacon and mini waffles from the day before. I chose to order a sandwich off the menu instead, skipping the buffet entirely. The same employee had been working the breakfast area each day and managed everything with a great attitude despite being clearly overworked. She even apologized again for the day before, showing that she genuinely cares about the guest experience. Employees like her should absolutely be recognized.

Even the one housekeeper I passed was pleasant and friendly, and I believe I saw a manager at checkout engaging with another guest—he seemed approachable and personable.

Overall, the hotel was clean, well-maintained, and staffed by people who care about guest satisfaction. While breakfast operations would benefit from more support, the team on-site made a real effort to cover the gaps and keep things running smoothly. Hilton should be proud of this staff—they’re the kind of team worth...
