Went to Tuckers on a Friday afternoon and was surprised there was a wait. One of the people working the front desk cut right in front of my mother with no apology, and only to get to the desk that someone else was already covering. Not a great start.
The same person who cut her off ended up being the one to inform us about the wait. I asked about 3 completely clean tables to the side and if those had a wait (I was on a lunch break during work and didn't have much time for a wait) and she said those tables are only for takeout. What? They have chairs and I could have sworn they had salt and pepper, too. Whatever.
We waited and were eventually seated. Waitress seemed unenthusiastic, but I get it's a tiring gig. Placed our orders.
Got our food probably 10 min later. Not bad timing, but everything seemed undercooked. Not like unsafe undercooked, but like it should have had more time to crisp up and make the potatos less hard. My mother ordered sausage and received kielbasa, and I ordered pancakes and got french toast. I mentioned this to the waitress, who uncaringly said she can have them make pancakes instead as she looked away from me. I said never mind because I didn't have time, but thanked her for the offer.
Food was mediocre (slightly undercooked), orders were wrong, coffee was gross (acidic and yet tasteless, and I'm not a coffee connoisseur or anything), and the staff was largely rude/uncaring.
Do not recommend, especially for the price. Very...
Read moreWent to Tuckers for breakfast on a Saturday morning. There was a wait, I was told 20-25 minutes. Phone number was given and we were told we would receive a text when table was ready. After 35 minutes, we went back inside since no text came. I overheard the hostess say to the girl taking names “ Are you notifying them?” Her answer was no, she was too busy chatting about her friends all having licenses even though she did not. After another 10 minutes inside waiting my husband questioned this since multiple people were being seated after coming in later than us. So now it’s 45 minutes waiting. Hostess said we were next but we noticed there were 5 people who arrived after us that were seated before us. This is because we were waiting for a text that never came. This was very poor communication on their part.
Luckily our waitress Alexandra F turned this around. She was friendly, pleasant and prompt. Food was very good. Some of the best pancakes around. Potatoes were a bit undercooked but we think that was just a slight error. Prices a little higher than other breakfast places but quality was worth it.
Need some work at the front of the house but...
Read moreGet your shit together Tucker's!! I have been coming to the Bedford location for months now. Every Sunday we show up with at least 10-12 people. We call ahead and check in on time. We've asked for accommodations like can this just be a permanent time frame for us? Which we were told No. Ok no biggie. Everytime we show up with calling ahead promptly at 9 am every Sunday. To have to wait 45 mins to an hour. I understand it's a busy breakfast time. This past Sunday was our last time giving them a chance to redeem themselves. They take our party of the wait list. When I called to make sure we were all set for a 9 am. Im not sure if they have new cooks but the quality of the food has gone from a 9 to a hard 1. We understand it gets busy but that should have nothing to do with the way our food comes out. This past Sunday was the worst experience we've ever had there. Food wasn't cooked all the way. Corn beef hash looked like it came straight out of the can with some warm hashbrowns in them. So disappointed Tucker's. We will no...
