Five Guys — Restaurant in Bel Air

The food is good, but waaaaay overpriced for what you get. The burgers are just burgers, nothing special. I was told that the toppings really make the burgers, so I ordered a lot of toppings, and it wasn't anything special, not overflowing. My fries weren't so plentiful that it warranted the $5 price I paid, considering I can pay $3 at Pat's for the same amount and quality. The milkshakes are about the equivalent size of a small at McDonald's, but they are $6...I can get one at Sonic with just as much junk in it, and have a huge one that I can share, for a couple of dollars less...plus, it took the chick so long to make it that I was almost done my meal before I finally got to have it. So, while the food was good I will NOT be returning to this place, because it wasn't that price tag good. For 2 burgers, 2 regular fries, and 2 shakes, I spent almost $45! For that price I can get a large order of everything I want at other places, including mozzarella sticks and onion rings...things this place...

Update: still satisfied with my food,the price outrageous $20 for one person at 5 guys is wild and yes I realize inflation is real but geeesh. I can sit down at a restaurant, have a cocktail with burger and fries, and recieve table service for just a few bucks more. I don't go to 5 guys often anymore due to the cost but it's still tasty every now and again!

I love 5 guys...this time was the first time, I didn't get a bunch of fries in my bag. My daughter and I were shocked because neither of us can finish the fries so we usually share but for some reason they didn't seem to give us much in the bag but we made it work. Our food was nice and hot and it never takes too long to recieve your order. You are always greeted when you walk in which makes you feel attended to immediately. My wife and I got there right at 11am when they were supposed to open and the door was locked. We saw employees inside so assumed they would be unlocking the door soon. After 2 or 3 minutes I knocked and an employee looked our way and yelled, "Not open." Mind you it's almost 11:05 at this point. No one came to explain what the issue was or anything. By this time there were about 6 people out front waiting but still no explanation even though the employees were at the counter talking amongst themselves, not 1 of them thought it would be good customer service to let us know what was going on. We finally left. Called the 800 number and explained what we experienced and was told we would be contacted by the area manager. We weren't.
