The restaurant was really nice on the inside, the atmosphere was lovely. However, the server we had was horrendous and I say this as someone who has experience in the service industry. I'm usually very patient and understanding because I've been there and I get it, but it was as if this server was trying to do a terrible job. At one point during the meal I asked my mom if we had done something wrong because any interaction our server had with us was short, dismissive and rude. And the fact that we only saw her a handful of times should be an indication of how nasty her attitude was. Then I realized she was giving all of her tables the same passive attitude. I ordered a cucumber crush, and she brought me a bowl of cucumbers. It's actually hilarious when you think about it but truly I wanted that cucumber crush. And she never rectified the situation, just left us with the cucumbers. We had to ask multiple different servers for refills on our drinks, which remained empty for most of the meal. The food, which also wasn't brought out by our server, had clearly been sitting for some time. It was all cold, like cold cold. My mom's risotto was room temperature, at best. The food flavor was lacking, and our Dynamite shrimp appetizer tasted like chemicals. We had to ask another server for boxes and then a different server for our check. When we asked to split it, she told us to just give her our cards and then she'd split it. She didn't even set the bill down for us to look over. We came out to celebrate my mom's 55th birthday and truly it was one of the absolute worst dining experiences I've ever had. We made a reservation with a note that we were celebrating a birthday and not one person acknowledged it. Definitely regretting not picking a different place to celebrate. I wish I would've believed the reviews about the ridiculously slow service, cold food and inattentive staff. Special shout out to the busboys though, they kept us topped up on bread while we waited nearly an hour for our food. And I didn't see a single manager on the floor the entire time we were there to make a...
Read moreMy family and I had a great experience at Liberatore's in Bel Air. My sister and I hosted a Saturday luncheon for 26 and everyone in our party was delighted with the food, location, service, etc. We're not local, so all of the planning was done via email/phone. Italo Liberatore returned my inquiry email promptly, provided a variety of catering menu options and followed up with a phone call a few weeks later. Liberatore's did a great job communicating, was more affordable than nearby competitors and each of the served menu options included a vegetarian choice, a fish choice, a meat choice, etc. We loved that the served luncheon menu also included a starter and a dessert. I heard great reviews about the food and can personally say that the cream of crab soup and eggplant Parmesan were fantastic! This establishment was easy to work with, allowed me to arrive early to decorate the space (with some photos, balloons, flowers, party favors), and the wait staff assigned to our room repeatedly offered to help. They were willing to adjust the lighting & adjust the volume of the music, rearrange tables, and were just generally very accommodating. I had not eaten at Liberatore's previously (because I live out of state), but I am glad it was recommended. We would absolutely work with them again. Good food, great service, clean & welcoming atmosphere, reasonably priced...
Read moreWe walked in and were pleasantly surprised at the atmosphere and presentation, it looked like and felt like a step above your typical chains like olive garden. But to be frank, I wish we had gone to Olive garden, instead we waited 40 minutes before even water was given to us. It took 20 minutes for the bus boy to literally drop the basket of bread on our table and walk away before we even had a chance to say thank you. The server was completely missing in action taking care of every other table. The manager finally took notice of our neglect and became our impromptu server, had he not come we would have never gotten our drinks, appetizers or main course. Speaking of the main course, it finally arrived at 1 hour 15 minutes into service. It would've been understandable if it had at least beaten out olive garden in the sauce department. Shrimp isn't chicken nor does it share any like consanents, so we were confused as to why there was chicken on our plate. We felt trapped at an hour and 30 minutes, as we had asked for the check AS our food was brought to us. We had to get the hostess to flag down our missing soldier and finally allow us to sign our freedom papers.
This was a confusing experience for us going into the place with so many high reviews, but this was ours, others may differ.
The bread was good, iced tea and bread date was still fun so the...
