This place is a disgrace. I had similar frustrations with my order last year, but figured that was because it was the football playoffs and it would be crazy. I should have learned my lesson. Nothing has changed. Consider that most buffalo wing establishments cater to a Sunday football crowd, which means that the establishment should be prepared in advance for the onslaught of orders that come through. A lot of people will order the day before, which you think would remedy the situation, but this place has proven time and again that no matter when you order, something is bound to be screwed up or you will wait a protracted amount of time, ensuring you will miss half the game. I ordered wings today. I could tell how the person on the phone was rushing me through the phone call that something would happen, but held out hope that things would be fine. I should have known better. I was told it would be an hour. Came in an hour later. The place wasn't even packed and there were what seemed like 20 employees behind the counter. The kitchen was filled with burning grease smoke. I gave my name to pick up my order. No name matching. Nothing. They had lost my order and kept questioning me if I actually called it in or placed it online. I had to show my phone and the outbound call log to the person at the counter. When (I suppose) the manager came over, she looked through the tickets and said she had too many to sort through. I asked if there was another way to time-stamp an order, such as their own call log. Nothing. The guy waiting for food next to me said he put his order in and had now been waiting for an hour and 30 minutes longer than he was promised its fulfillment. I asked the manager what we can do, and I was told nothing...that I would have to wait another hour or so. I told them that was unacceptable and left. Went down the road to Buffalo Wild Wings where the same order was fulfilled in 25 minutes. So be warned! You most likely will not be ordering wings on a random Wednesday afternoon. You will be ordering when everyone else is, during a crunch, and this place just can't handle the volume and has no plans to do so. They should just shut down on Sundays and stop overextending themselves and overpromising competent service or just shut down permanently. It's a nightmare and you will...
Read moreIt kills me to admit it, but they have gotten worse over the last few years. I've been going there for over 10 years and I've finally come to terms with it. As others have pointed out, the quality of their wings have degraded considerably.
Their wings have gotten really small. At some point they either switched their wing supplier or it's probably time to consider a different supplier. Seriously, some pieces look so small, it's pathetic.
The wings are over-cooked. This probably adds to the issue of their wing size. Overall, their wings are still abnormally small; however, overcooking them makes them shrivel up even more. If you don't order wings with some kind of sauce, they're way too dry. And its no accident...the wings are consistenly over-cooked every time.
What's up with the price? As someone else has mentioned, they're way over-priced. If you don't go during one of their specials, they're almost $1 per wing. At that price, I might as well get McDonalds Mighty Wings. I don't think people would mind paying that much for a good, quality wing; but these are far from that.
Their service is okay. It's usually a bunch of high school kids working the counter. I haven't had a bad experience, but some of these kids do have that "I don't care" attitude...but that's sort of the usual teenager attitude anyway.
I'm writing this with the hope that the owner reads this and really pays attention. CR still seems to do good business and their sauces are their only saving grace right now. I will still check it out every once and awhile, but I can't justify going there more than twice a year when I can get much better wings plenty of other places. You may get good business now, but if you keep letting the quality slip, you'll end up like "SKOOTERS" next door. I hope the owner takes the time to really examine the product he's putting out and re-evaluate the situation. Every once and awhile you have to set the reset button. I think that...
Read moreThis review is for my 2nd visit, first one was great and the wings we exceptional however, my second visit was horrible. I tried the loaded fries and they must've thrown old fries back in the deep frier or something because they were all dark oil sponges. I could've refill their frier with the amount of oil that was in them, the fries we obviously soggy because of it. I couldn't initially tell because they were covered in cheese etc. After my first bite I thought I was drinking oil. No big deal I understand mistakes happen but when I brought up the issue to the staff they needed to get ALL the employees to look at my food and told me they aren't sure what the issue is. So I had to literally grab the soggy fries and squeeze all the oil and ask them if that's how they serve their food, then they finally agreed it wasn't normal and proceeded to make me another batch. While I was waiting they started to make jokes out loud that apparently I'm complaining about the loaded fries being TOO LOADED and making jokes about the issue and because I was already dealing with their subpar food quality I couldn't tolerate the slander so I told them to stop making the fries and just issue me a refund. I never thought I'd go for food and end up being treated like this. I also take the time to always give good reviews for business but unfortunately I have to share my experience. I hope no one experiences an issue like mine because I cannot recommend this place for the lack of...
