IPPA SUSHI RAMEN — Restaurant in Bell

Be careful with your money here. If you’re gonna come here, I highly recommend paying in cash or via a 3rd party (Yelp/Doordash). I visited about 2 weeks ago and the transaction barely posted, not sure how that happened nor is it clear that this was the restaurant‘s fault - could be their bank.

At any rate, the service was confusing (i spent at least 15 min trying to communicate my order). It seemed that the cashier was not aware of the restaurant specials.

Additionally, many of the sushi items were not thawed which dramatically increased my wait time. I waited 45 min during lunch hour for 4 rolls of sushi.

The sushi was fine but not spectacular and the atmosphere in the restaurant is actually really cool. I felt they really paid attention to the local community and what would be our favorite anime’s to decorate the walls. The music choices were also cozy and really felt like they were catering to our local community.

Unfortunately, the service, wait, and this 2 week late charge (which did cause my account to overdraft) was not cool. I honestly would not have left a negative review because it seems they’re really trying & Bell/Maywood/Cudahy really deserve a good ramen/sushi spot. But the late charge really left a terrible impression.

If everything else about the restaurant was fine & the charge still happened, I would’ve assumed it was a banking thing but I’m not sure - just seems like they are not on top of things.

I’ll still be traveling further to other restaurants when I want sushi unfortunately, will not be...

My wife and I love enjoying a bowl of delicious ramen. We have been to many Japanese ramen restaurants to try different style ramen from different restaurants. A friend of my tell there's a Japanese Ramen restaurant in the city of Bell that's he stay the ramen is amazing good. I check on my Yelp to see the reviews they very good for the restaurant and also especially the ramen and sushi.

We decided to go to the restaurant to try it out when we arrive at the restaurant. It wasn't full but they were table and waitess told us pick a table and we did and sat down and waitess hand us the menu. We were looking at the menu and decided to order we order mix vegetables tempura then my wife order a bowl of Tonkotsu with California roll by the side that's a extra charge. I decided to get the spicy pork belly ramen.

The mix vegetables tempura was delicious we enjoy and also have sauces by the side they were very good. They brought the ramen to the table and my wife California roll. Then I try the spicy broth it was really good amazing flavors in the broth it was little bit spicy but very good. The porky belly was so good I enjoy very much. My wife enjoy her Tonkotsu bowl.. I'm giving it 1 star because of the wait. After we placed our order, we waited almost an hour if not the whole hour for our 2 ramen soups. After we waited 30 minutes we heard the front girl tell the customers coming in that the wait was 30 minutes. Idk why she didn't tell us when we got there, we would have left. We had already waited long enough so that's why we stayed. Management needs to be better about this. Idk if they were short staffed, but it's horrible customer service to not communicate the wait times and if it was the case, not have more people in staff. We're not coming back, and this was our first time too. Do better and respect our time. Now I know why they have disclaimer when u enter saying you have to pay what u eat. People leave after eating their appetizers/drinks after waiting so long for the food. You should have that same disclaimer energy, and post that the times can be long as well. Also, the soup didn't have mushroom and hardly any bean sprouts. A couple even left as well after waiting as long as us. As if you guys are paying for our meal, you make the customer wait as long as you all want?! Terrible...
