Danny's Irish Pub and Banquet Center — Restaurant in Belleville

Wife and I went here on Saturday night.Arrived at 5:30. Band was setting up their equipment, they start at 8pm. One bartender was the only server in sight. She came and got our drink order, gave us 1 menu saying they were short of copies. Place began to quickly fill up with folks . The sole server was quickly overwhelmed. Trying to serve a pretty full place, as well as bartend for those seated at the bar. Finally took our order. Waited a good long time for her to see that my beer had been empty for some time. Food came after 20 minutes. My fried chicken was good, but mash taters and green beans were cold. My wife ordered Philly cheese and fries. Fries were undercooked, soggy and cold. By this time, restaurant was jam packed and the single server was overwhelmed. We were able to flag her down and ask for hot cooked fries. After finishing her sandwich and me my dinner, fries never arrived- at least 20 minutes we decided to leave. The wait time for everything was exorbitant. Had to flag the server down to ask for our check. Couldn’t bring myself to leave a tip, service was awful and food was cold.This place has potential but they need more help, especially on Saturday night. The single server was overwhelmed. Reserved banquet room early November for late April. The room was already rented for that day but they said it was a morning thing so we would be able to use after 6:00 pm. Put 300.00 deposit down which they cashed right away. By mid December I had to replace washer/dryer, furnace/ac and refrigerator. Called to cancel and asked if I got my deposit or partial deposit back. Girl took info and said owner/ manager would Contact me. I called 3 more times and was told the same thing. Sent e-mail someone responded saying they usually don’t give deposit back unless they can rent the room out but under the circumstances the owner/ manager may consider. I thanked them and after not hearing back from them on an update I sent them a reminder and told them that actually the room was already rented that day by someone else so a refund shouldn’t be a problem. Didn’t hear back. Messaged again asking could I get a yes or No. Nothing. Sent a message on messenger got automated response that someone would get back with me they didn’t. I really don’t know how you can stay in business with this kind of service. Maybe they need the 300.00 more than...

Called in an order for 1 pound cod , side of stewed tomatoes and side of hush puppies. Also asked for rye bread, pickles and onions. Got there to pick up, waited awhile before finally getting help. Paid bill of $22 and something plus 4.00 tip and when I received my meal there was only 1 container. I asked if that was it and was told they stuffed everything in the container. After lifting the lid, only fish, onion and pickles were there. I called the lady back and said the stewed tomatoes, hush puppies and rye bread was missing. After waiting again, I am handed a small container which I am told are the hush puppies and bread. I then state that I still don’t have the stewed tomatoes. Again I have to wait. Finally I am handed the stewed tomatoes and I leave. Get home and open the small container, there are two pieces of rye bread and 4 small hush puppies. REALLY, $3.99 for a side of hush puppies that only have 4 small ? Also, never said sorry, I apologize or nothing...
