Ok, the place is truly hidden behind a bigger shopping center. No one would ever dare to venture unless you were lost. But my wife and I are adventerous. This little center is more like a Russian enclave, where all the shop keepers know each other like family (maybe they are?) We actually went to eat at the Thai place and walked around afterwards. But agreeably, the service is pretty sad, you're lucky if someone happens to be at the counter. They seem to be in the back doing something. The Tiramisu was surprisingly good. The next day we went back to buy the Neopolitan which turn out to be terrible (too soggy which made it too hard to cut). In Los Angeles, we pay quite if bit for just cake, the price of the Tiramisu is a baragain, although it was good, not really sure if they actually use mascarpone cheese. I did asked, I don't think he understood me. If you're go there for any experience, why? it just a hole in the wall bakery. The music and atmosphere transported me straight to Venezuela, to MĂŠridaâwarm, inviting, and full of soul. Every detail feels intentional and heartfelt.
The host was incredibly attentive and welcoming, making the whole experience even more special. Oh, and donât leave without trying the gelatosâtheyâre amazing!
Highly recommend for anyone craving genuine Venezuelan flavors and hospitality. Iâll definitely be...
Read moreWell, my visit to Crossroads Bakery was a letdown. I called beforehand to check if they had fresh bread, and they said yes. But when I got there, the bread didn't look all that fresh, yet I decided to give it a shot and bought it.
Big mistake! When I got home and opened the bag, it was clear the bread was anything but fresh. It tasted old and had lost its appeal altogether. I expect better when I buy from a baker!
Overall, a bad experience, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Fresh bread shouldn't be a gamble, and I feel like I was misled. Avoid Crossroads Bakery if you...
