Amazing skewers at a higher cost -

I hesitated to try this place because I've seen the menu and I thought it was quite pricy in my standard. However, it was the only place that opened late when we needed to eat out with our friends, so we tried it out. It was Saturday night around 8pm, but they were quite packed (around 70%). We got our seats right away and they gave us the small tea cups for the water (water bottle was already on the table).
We ordered a bunch of stuff since we had a special coupon from Asian Family Market for their Lunar New Year celebration. Here are the list of things that we ordered:
Grilled beef tongue 烤牛舌 $2.99/skewer Grilled Beef ribeye skewer 烤肋眼牛肉串 $3.49/skewer Grilled lamb skewer 烤羊肉串 $1.99/skewer Grilled pork belly 烤五花肉串 $1.99/skewer Grilled chicken gizzards 烤雞胗 $2.49/skewer Grilled sausage 烤火腿腸 $2.99/skewer Grilled scallop 烤帶子(扇貝) $2.99/skewer Grilled cauliflower 烤花菜 $1.99/skewer Grilled mushrooms 烤蘑菇 $1.66/skewer Grilled garlic eggplant 烤蒜泥茄子 $8.99 Baked clams with vermicelli in tin foil 錫紙花甲粉 $14.99.
All of the food was delicious, but the beef tongue was especially good. The beef ribeye was a bit dry for me, so I'd recommend getting the lamb instead (both original and marinated were good). The last two dishes were bigger, but they were delicious as well. The baked clams were a bit spicy with tons of chili peppers.
We didn't order any starch, and we were probably about 80% full when we left. I'd recommend ordering the grilled bread so you can be more full. The downside of this place is that they speak mostly Chinese and they were reluctant to tell us what the skewers are until I asked them. I'm not sure how it'd be for people who don't speak chinese, but I do see a group of non-Chinese speakers dining there. I'd come back here again for other social events in the future!

We came back 3 times so far. They have changed the order unit of skewers, so you have to get 4 lamb skewers at once for $7.99, etc. It's still amazing and they added more...
Read moreI had the worst dining experience. After ordering, it took 18 minutes for the first skewer to arrive, while other tables who ordered after us were already full of food. I called a waiter over and asked why our food was taking so long, but all the staff avoided stopping to address my concerns. Instead, they continued serving other tables, completely ignoring us. It's unbelievable that all the staff could have such an evasive and disrespectful attitude—it makes me question how the management trained them.
Even something as simple as getting a bottle of Vita Lemon Tea from the fridge required me to ask twice. The beef tripe skewers were cold, and even after reheating, they were still cold. Their "compensation" was offering three tiny lamb skewers. When we were ready to pay, I reviewed the bill and noticed they charged us for spicy chicken feet, which we never received. After I pointed it out, they finally admitted they were out of chicken feet that day. If I hadn’t double-checked the bill, we would have been unfairly overcharged! There wasn’t even a manager available to handle the issue or provide a satisfactory explanation.
To make it worse, the staff claimed they were in a "soft opening" phase (yet there was no 10% discount at checkout). The restaurant lacked basic accountability, and the staff couldn't even stand by our table to listen to feedback. Is this the attitude you want to have during a soft opening? Is this how you're planning to improve for the future?
This was an infuriating experience and by far the worst dining experience I've ever had. Avoid this...

I had one of the worst dining experiences at this BBQ restaurant. First of all, the skewers was served cold, which is just unacceptable. The peanuts with edamame were spoiled , making us lose our appetite right from the start. The grilled chives were completely flavorless, as if no seasoning was used at all.
Service was painfully slow and chaotic. Dishes came out in no particular order, and we had to wait forever just to get basic things. To make things worse, the complimentary peanuts were disgusting, honestly the worst I've ever had.
And to top it all off, the prices were ridiculously high for such poor quality food and service. I definitely won’t be coming back and would not recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go...
