every subway i've ever been to keeps the standard of cleanliness and "eat fresh" - except this one. that's the thing that is supposed to be good about franchises - they are supposed to uphold certain standards across the board. this one fails miserably. -dirty tables to eat at -dirty glass covering over food - very noticeable fingerprints, and who knows what else. this clearly has not been cleaned in a while -crusted/dirty dressing bottles (to the point where I could notice the build up on each one - these are also very clearly not cleaned out properly) -employees reusing gloves and the paper on which sandwiches are made. i winced when i saw the same paper used on my sandwich that he just used for three customers infront of me. is the paper that much cost to you, that you instruct to re-use?? gloves too? yuck -touching other surfaces with gloves on while in the process of making a sandwich I looked behind the counter, it was horrendous. if you go here regularly - take a peek next time, really look at the surface they are making your sandwich on. pay attention to the food bins and the space in-between them. its actually really disgusting.
Not to mention, I've noticed this subway has changed the "formulas" and feels fine giving you less than any other subway - most likely to cut costs. if your franchising, you shouldn't be trying to cut costs in this manner.
i haven't felt good about eating that sandwich in days- the image of the dirtiest subway i have ever seen is stuck in my mind. i had to let others know. its a shame. i would love to see a subway that is up to standard at this location. laziness and penny pinching do not go a long way. working hard to keep up standards is what REALLY pays off. i hope the owner sees this and understands why some of us will never go back. some of us actually pay attention, and these practices...
