Topo Gigio Pizza — Restaurant in Bellmawr

My wife and I have occasion to be in Bellmawr somewhat often and, while there are dozens of pizzerias in Bellmawr, we haven’t always been thrilled with what we’ve been served. So, we turned to Google and asked for the “best pizzerias near me” and boy, were we glad we did.

At the top of the list was Topo Gigio's Pizza at 984 Creek Road in Bellmawr. A great old-school (think 60’s and 70’s) NJ pizzeria. Family owned since 1982, there are no frills, no fancy décor, but quick service, and super value for your money (slices, regular and Sicilian, are just $1.75 and toppings are only $0.50; cheese steaks for $5.50)!

And oh that pizza! A crust that’s crispy, firm and flavorful; a goodly size slice covered in high quality cheese; and the sauce – simple ingredients prepared well – perfectly completed the slice, which was baked hot and fresh. Exactly what we were looking for!

The patrons we met there were very friendly and all had been going to Topo Gigio’s for many, many years, with one guy who had been regularly eating there for 36 years!

You won’t go wrong at Topo Gigio’s whether it's for pizza or hot and cold subs, and when you go, be sure to say “Hi” to Johnny, who’s still turning out some of the best classic...

I used to go to this place while I'm working but lately the pizza was cold and not reheated. I guess I should say that it was slice is not a whole pie. He didn't even try to heat it. Another time I got a slice at about 12. The owner said that I was the first customer of that day. If I was the first customer then why was there only three slices on display? I could tell that it was leftovers from last night! I don't mind reheated slices but that's when I'm getting a whole pie the night before and eating for lunch! I will never go to this place again! There's just too many pizzas shops around to deal with...

Old school and I love it! They have a limited menu which I love!! I'll take a smaller menu and real ingredients over a 5 page menu with frozen food that is overpriced. The menu is perfect to me..Pizza with the usual sides available, cheesesteaks, and hoagies. So far I've had the pizza which is delicious as well as the yummy cheese steaks!! I will drive here before having an overpriced pizza that's just ok any day! I was shocked when I only paid $18 for a medium pizza and a cheese steak! So delicious!..my daughter doesn't usually eat pizza and she gave them five stars. I'd give them 10...
