Denny's — Restaurant in Bellmead

When we first walked in I was unsure about eating here. The phone was ringing. There was 2 customers waiting to pay. I didnt see a hostess but noticed a waitress and cook behind the counter infront of the kitchen talking. Out of the 5 or 6 tables that had people occupying them we only saw 1 with food on it. So we decided to use the bathroom and see how things looked when we came out. Well my husband opened the door to exit for the 2 older customers that had been waiting to pay and I followed them out (since the older man thought I was actually leaving and insisted I exit before him😁) I asked them if it took a long time to get their food and they both agreed it want to long at all. They also raved about the grand slam and the incredible low price if only $5.99. so we decided to go ahead and get seated. The waitress came up and greeted us right away. Very nice. Asked where we preferred to sit. Took our drink orders and appetizer order right a way. So I thought to myself maybe her and the cook weren't just hanging out informing the phone or the customers waiting to pay but maybe they were actually trying to figure out a ticket issue. (shouldn't always jump to the worst conclusion) anyways we had our drinks and appetizer in no time. When trying to place my order I couldn't decide because they have such much great stuff to chose from and our waitress (I think her name was Doondra 🤔 ugh I can't remember) didn't get pushy or irritated. Yet laughed along with us. Our food was out in less then 10 mins I'm thinking. It was all good. The gentleman that was cleaning up some of the tables asked if we needed anything and if my husband would like a refill. Which he did and the gentleman refilled his drink and asked again if we needed anything else. My husband asked if he was the manager and he said yes. We told him how great our waitress was. How nice, professional, out going and how she always had a smile on her face and he should be sure to keep her. He totally agreed. When we left they thanked us and told us to have a good evening. All around great experience. Just goes to show you can't always judge off your first impression. Very glad we decided to stay...

We were not vary happy with the service that we got. We ordered our drinks and received them. Shortly after when she came to get our order our kids decided that they wanted one of the kids cups that they had out on display. When we ask our waitress for three of them she then asked do I have to get them for you now or can you just get them when you check out. She went to put our order in and came rigj back and said that the computer was asking what sides we wanted for our kids meal so we asked for grapes. After about 10 Minutes or so I saw our kids food sitting in the window for a few minutes and called over another waitress and told her That we didn’t mind if our kids food came before ours and she want and got our waitress and she brought it right over. About 8-10 Minutes later our waitress comes and says she forgot to put in mine and my husbands order. It took awhile to get our food witch was vary frustrating because by the time we got our food our kids were already done and starting to get restless. My husband’s sausage and eggs were cold, but my sandwich was fine, We also got an Italian sampler which was really good. But the whole time we were there our waiter did not seem friendly she wasn’t very attentive to our needs, But she did do an okay job at keeping our drinks field. And then when we got the bill for our order it ended up charging us $.98 for the grapes. All in all we have decided that we will not be going back to this...

My last visit here on Sunday was just not good at all! I don't even know where to start and don't even usually complain about so much, but unfortunately it took a dang hour to get our food, half of it came out even later! Service was not so terrible as it was just super slow. We still tipped but gosh dang no body was even in there for it to be slow service, OR slow to get our food! Even to PAY omg just SMH!! THEN, we got an appetizer my husband thought was offered free since it took over an hour to get our food! Well, NOPE! Ha we even GOT IT BEFORE OUR FOOD!!! I was brought...FINALLY the avacado I had asked for when I ordered, waaaaay later, finally. Then she ran off while I was still holding the little plate with the brown rotten avacado that all the blind people could CLEARLY SEE!!!! Just NOT good at all THIS VISIT! Oh I am sure I'm forgetting something else but ya, they even took phone off the hook and we had to listen to the bistro signal so long I was going to go hang it up myself. Till I decided not to because I didn't want to listen to the phone ringing another 30 minutes either !! Oh ya, the appetizer was NOT ONLY BILLED TO US, BUT WAS TOO GREASY TO EAT IT BUT I TRIED, SINCE I WAS STARVING! So, I would just beware if thinking of visiting this...
