Bellville Treats — Restaurant in Bellville

On our way back from Katy today we stopped at Bellville Treats, going in I expect it to be one of the cookie cutters places like in the mall. Upon entering a smorgasbord of smells hit my nose and I must say it brought back the kid in me after taken in the smell I look behind the glass and instantly my mouth starts to water. I go down the line looking at all these chocolate covered and things dripping with everything under the sun, I couldn’t decide what would be my undoing. I finally decided on this chocolate covered alternative to heaven. I sat down and started in on what I would describe was what was served at the last supper for dessert. Now I don’t usually review food and I have to say I risked my life for this desert because I am a diabetic but I would have died a happy man, so needless to say it was worth the risk. Lol The owner of the place was just the nicest and down to earth man I’ve met in awhile, you could definitely tell he’s in it to put smiles on faces not just money in pockets. Nothing we ordered was dry like other places, you can tell his passion for food and that is what made the whole experience even better, well there you have it folks my honest opinion on a small town place with big taste. Pulled in at 7:44 PM on a Monday night, cuz ice cream. Met the owner in the parking lot with another family hoping to do the same. He asked if we there for ice cream or a burger from the shop next door.

Well, turns out they're closed on Mondays. But there wasn't any hesitation in his invitation to step in and get some much desired, cold vittles.

What a hidden treasure!

Blue bell ice cream with the staples and some newbies. Plenty of homemade baked goods, coffee, smoothies, and boutique-style sodas.

Which is all plenty on its own, but the owner was kind and treated us like old friends. That was the best part of the experience.

Bellville treats is a really good, down to earth, family atmosphere, ice cream shop. So stop by and enjoy. Ever since we stopped by the first time, we have enjoyed it very much. That is why we keep going back. Places like these are rare.
