This is our closest Longhorn to where we live and we will continue taking the extra time to go to one of the many other locations in our state. This specific Longhorn has always failed our very reasonable expectations. Overly long waits for food, with the food then having something wrong with it and needing to be modified or remade. Our most recent experience on Mother's Day weekend put the nail in the coffin. This took place on Saturday night, the day before the holiday. We ordered two parmesan crusted chickens and got a steak for our daughter with added parmesan crusted cheese on top. Our daughter food came out looking great with everything asked for. My wife and I's came out with a little sprinkle of cheese on it missing majority of what makes it "parmesan crusted" chicken. Waitress told us that they're out of the cheese the meal should have and asked upon putting our plates in front of us "are y'all good with that?" The food was taken back to the kitchen to get a bit of a makeover and came out the same way but now slightly burned. We wouldn't have been able to eat it anyway because we never had any utensils, and when they were finally provided, it was literally just a fork wrapped in a napkin. My daughter continued to wait for proper utensils to eat her steak. We expressed our disappointment to the manager and he was honestly great. He expressed his apologies, adjusted our bill, explained that there should be no shortage of any cheese because they were well prepared for mother's Day and offered to remake the meals. At this point, we were all tired and had a fussy newborn who awoke due to the wait to get things on track. We declined the remake and he instead provided us cards to discount our next experience at any Longhorn we go to. Our waitress gave us a dry apology before we left, including an epic pointed finger at the cooks saying she can't control what they do or don't do and asked us to have a good night. Pretty sure she could've looked at our meals and determined for herself what they should look like before ending up on our table. The chefs must also be to blame for taking over 30 mins AFTER receiving the food to get utensils which still didn't include any cutlery. NO ACCOUNTABILITY. Sorry for the rant, but don't come here unless you like gambling. You won't know what experience you'll get until you've already wasted your time and patience. Again, shout-out to the manager, he did everything he could and should've done. The rest of the establishment needs to follow his example. Great...
Read moreThis review is not based on the service provided by the bartender. This review is based the deceitfulness of this particular restaurant. I am a frequent customer at a different Long Horn restaurant. I have only visited this restaurant a few times and have encountered an issue each time. I have overlooked the issues in the past but this last encounter was the straw that broke the camels back for me.
On Saturday, I placed an order at the bar. I ordered the 10oz Salmon with broccoli and a side salad.I also order the Long Pour Patron Dragon Fruit Margarita. The price on the menu (which is an update menu) list the price at 12.99. However, I was charged $15.99. I did not ask/request for the extra shot of liquor, which is $2.99, nor was there any sign that an extra shot was added to my long pour. When I inquired about the addition charge for the Long Pour Margarita, I was told that the menu was recently updated, but the correct price for the long pour did not get updated to $15.99. However, I was told that the correct price is $15.99. That is dishonesty and deceit at its finest. If the menus says that price is $12.99, the restaurant should honor that price. The price for my drink was not adjusted so I had to pay $15.99. I am attaching a photo of the drink that I ordered and the price that is displayed on the NEW updated menu.
Also, I ordered the 10oz salmon but was served the 7oz salmon. When I asked the bartender about the portion size, he acknowledged that I was served the 7oz as opposed to the 10oz. He apologized and took my plate around the corner and returned with an undercooked and Lukewarm 10oz salmon. It appeared as though someone else had sent this particular salmon back to the kitchen and they served it to me. I ate about 1/4 of the salmon and decided that I would just cut my losses, and I got out of there. The restaurant was busy and appeared understaffed, but the customer should not have to pay the price for that. I would like to speak with the manager concerning this encounter because neither the food nor the drink situation is indicative of any Long Horn restaurant that I...
Read moreI recently dined at Longhorn Steakhouse and I must say that my experience was rather average. While there were some positives, overall, it failed to leave a lasting impression.
Let's start with the positives. The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant, with a cozy and rustic feel. The staff members were polite and greeted us promptly upon arrival. The menu had a decent variety of steak options to choose from, and the prices were reasonable.
However, when it came to the food itself, I found it to be underwhelming. The steaks, which are supposed to be the highlight of the restaurant, were cooked inconsistently. Some parts were overcooked and lacked juiciness, while others were undercooked and required sending back to the kitchen. The flavors were mediocre at best, lacking the depth and seasoning that one would expect from a steakhouse.
Additionally, the side dishes were nothing to write home about. They were bland and lacked creativity. The mashed potatoes were lumpy, the vegetables were overcooked and lacking in freshness, and the salads were unremarkable. It seemed as though the focus was solely on the meat, with the sides being an afterthought.
Furthermore, the service was average at best. While the staff was polite, they seemed somewhat disengaged and not overly attentive to our needs. It took quite some time for our orders to be taken and for the food to arrive at our table. We also had to ask for drink refills multiple times before they were finally brought to us.
In terms of value for money, I felt that Longhorn Steakhouse fell short. Considering the average quality of the food and the lackluster service, the prices seemed a bit steep.
In conclusion, my experience at Longhorn Steakhouse was mediocre. While the ambiance was pleasant and the staff members were polite, the food was underwhelming and the service left much to be desired. If you're looking for a memorable steakhouse experience, I would recommend exploring other options before settling for...
