1/3/25 - kudos to management for addressing these Dec ‘24 matters quickly!
12/7/24 - things over the summer had been going pretty well. But now I’m sensing a shit as there are a bunch of new servers on the team. The food quality is still good, but the service is lacking. I was particularly stunned today when I had another encounter with the new server, Rikaylah. She consistently forgets the little things in service excellent… Providing a full set of utensils, providing condiments, getting coffee to you on time when you’re seated. She seems distracted, and today’s encounter was particularly disturbing. As I am a regular who eats at this location at least four times a week, she said to me, “You know that you can make this at home”. Unbelievable!!! Does she not realize that consistent in paying customers like me help provide her salary?
4/6/24 - excellent service and food today from Charisma. She was incredibly delightful and upbeat. I am a huge fan of her, Lacy and the team. Keep up the great work …as I love the new management
7/16/23 - please stick with plastic flatware, as the silverware isn’t always cleaned properly. I really want this management team to make necessary changes.
Please please please do whatever is necessary to keep our favorite server, Candace, here. She is the absolute best!!! Her engaging personality, warm smile, sense of urgency and superior customer service is rarely found. My family, all of my friends and I look forward to seeing her each week.
One month later - Candace is gone, service is slower, water-stained glasses and the restrooms are filthy. Moving my rating down from 5-stars to 2
As of July 2023, no changes. This location is in need of new management to improve food quality (no wilted greens, dirty dishes, reduced portion sizes, etc) and cleanliness (restrooms are still disgusting). FOOD This was a delicious lunch. The salad was mouthwatering and fresh with bits of tasty morsels in each bite. The sandwich was wonderful as well and went perfectly with the salad as it had avocado cheese and a ton of turkey on fresh bread. Just when I thought my meal was amazing everyone else was making the SAME PROCLAMATIONS about their meals from the veggie sandwich to the French toast (declared to be the BEST EVER BY TWO PEOPLE IN THEIR 60 PLUS YEARS!!!!) There were also several drink specials and it was truly difficult to choose what to order as the menu is vast
SERVICE Second to none lovely friendly southern service with a precious Gal who had the most comforting spirit, was knowledgeable about her menu, company and very skilled at caring for people. She gave recommendations and was thoughtful and attentive. That applied to everyone from the greeting at the door to the departure - seamless perfection (I ONLY WISH there was a First Watch in Greenville SC where I live!!!)
LOCATION This is a privately owned restaurant with several regional locations It was well situated near our Marriott hotel in a nice shopping center
VALUE The half sandwich and salad had a stupendous value as did the other meals
ATMOSPHERE The ambience was lovely - coastal chic with many oversized privacy booths and a really elegant bar area and it looked like they even had an outdoor area (because of the storm that wasn't a consideration of course, but I can see how it would be wonderful on a beautiful day or evening)
I cannot SAY ENOUGH about this dining experience EXCEPT I wish I could go more often, but if YOU EVER happen to find yourself in Charlotte head on over to First Watch for a meal you won't soon forget!!

Read moreWhere I would love to review this particular location higher as it is my home location I’m now to the point I don’t want to eat here anymore. My wife and I have ordered from here 5+ times in the past 3 months and each time there has been an issue. We always order online, typically on Saturday mornings, as the line is usually out the door (good for them). Our first complaint is their quoted arrival times for pick up. Never have I once arrived at the time quoted and not had to stand and wait another 20+ minutes. I understand that they are busy so just adjust pick up time accordingly. That would also keep people from standing in the waiting area and leave more room for people waiting to be seated. My main complaint is EVERY meal we have picked up has been missing something or has poorly picked ingredients. I promise you when I say we have never been given the preserves to go with our often forgotten toast. Maybe they reserve this for in restaurant guests only. I don’t know. Lastly and the aggravation that lead to this review was today’s order. My wife ordered the chile chorizo omelet and I ordered the million dollar harvest hash. The avocado in the omelet was already spoiled and the million dollar bacon (the title ingredient in the dish) was non existent. Our order was placed at 8:44 this morning (Monday) and they were not busy at all. Things like this should not be missed.
