Came in for a DoorDash Carry Out order and accidentally used the main entrance instead of the carryout entrance (I was in a rush and it’s not close by the main door or marked on the main door to use the other entrance.) The young ladies at the front were very polite and gave me the drinks for the order and said the food would be ready shortly. The male manager came out and stood back to observe their work and the flow of everything. When my order was ready the young ladies at the front asked me to repeat the name and they went to grab the order. The manager took the order from the young lady and insisted I step to the carryout area. This would not have been a problem, except to get to that area I either had to go around the building outside, or squeeze between a shelf, a counter, and a customer. The manager insisted I squeeze.
With DoorDash orders you have to confirm the order before you get the order, which I obviously have no problem doing, but you also have to take a picture of the receipt before you can confirm the order. He would not let the order sit still for me to take a picture of the receipt, so I just took a picture of the order while it was in his hand and confirmed anyway.
He gave me a rude reminder to use the carryout door next time I had an order, and then I went on my way to proceed with the order.
The staff was friendly and sweet, the manager was...
Read moreI like the choices, but what I really love is the puffy corn tortilla on some of the select tacos. So I ordered a two taco meal and asked for that particular tortilla for my tacos. She did ring it up that way, but of course I didn't get that. The nice gal who brought me my food said she'll fix it. Came back with one taco fixed, not the other one. It's important bc they don't heat up their flour tortillas which are thin and have zero flavor. I gave up and ate. The "meal" comes with a side and a drink. For some reason, unlike every other restaurant in the US, they give you a baby cup so you have to keep getting up to get a refill. The chips and dips trio seems like a good idea, until I tried to dip into the cheese, see photo for reference. The salsa had a watered down basic flavor. This definitely isn't for connoisseurs of real Mexican food or fancy taco trucks. The nice thing about them is they claim to donate a meal for every meal that is purchased, which I hope is true. This particular location is pretty new, so I was surprised by the little bit of attitude you get from the cashier who clearly wanted to go home. But not before requiring me to input a tip, why is this...
Read moreGenerally, the food is good and consistent. Definitely check your order before leaving, but otherwise, fine. The service is where they have lost me.
Specifically, a young man servicing the to-go order line. On two occasions he's his behavior has been rude and curious.
First - I was asked for my ID when picking up an order. I order to-go all often, so perhaps this was a new protocol? But then again, perhaps NOT because the lady in front of me was not asked for hers, so I have to wonder what was the difference between her and I? Hm.
Second - Today, Sat. 03/15/2025, I'm standing in line waiting to pick up my order. No one greeted me, but maybe they were busy, so I waited, no problem. Another customer walks in and stands behind me. Immediately, they are asked, "How can I help you?" Meanwhile, I'm standing in front of this other customer like, "excuse me, I was in line too (and first). The young man causally "apologized" and handed me my food, but the damage was done as the other customers looked and chuckled. It's very rude and embarrassing.
This is a neighborhood, quick meal that I may have to pass on going forward because I don't care for a third...
