Really enjoyed my first visit here! The service was fast, friendly and welcoming.

I had the gyro, and it was quite nice. The house-made tsatsiki sauce was a little more un-traditional than what I'm used to: it had some unexpected extra sweetness (but I loved it; I also dipped my fries in it).

My lunch companions had the taco salad and chicken stir-fry, respectively. I'm told that the stir-fry was unfortunately weak in flavor, but that the taco salad was great.

Other things I appreciated:

1.) Compared to other family restaurants in the area, the menu was concise--not one of those giant menus that make you feel like you're reading a car-maintenance instruction manual.

2.) Also compared to other family restaurants, the serving sizes were appropriate for human beings.

We had separate plans to get ice cream; otherwise, I would have tried one of their delectable-looking slices of pie.

I don't spend much time in Beloit, but next time I'm there, I'll definitely...

Pretty decent place for breakfast. If you like to order hashbrowns crispy like I do, you will be pleased. They will be crispy all the way through! The 1 thing I don't care for is that they use gross sliced cheese for everything. If you want cheese on your scrambled eggs, you will get a pile of scrambled eggs with a half melted slice of generic cheese on top. Skillets come with 2 slices of half melted cheese sitting on top. It's really nasty. Seeing your food set in front of you with half melted slices of cheese on it is kind of an appetite killer. It's too bad that they ruin decent food with horrible cheese slices. Terrible service. Waited a very long time to order our food. As I was ordering my food, the waitress was not paying attention at all. She was staring at other people and asked me to repeat myself multiple times. It was an older lady who stated she has been working there for plenty of years. As we were eating our food she grabbed my husbands plate rudely without asking permission and changed his plate because it was making too much noise. I think that the waitress was very unprofessional and this should be addressed. We visit the area frequently to a nearby camping site and will give a bad word of mouth...
