TLDR: I don't want to leave a bad review for a place with so much potential but I think I might be sick. The lemonade tasted exactly how an old wet sponge smells. Sorry.

I really REALLY wanted to like this place. The menu is unique. I know it's Dominican but it reminds me of soul food. The salami was good. The rice tasted fine but was super dry/pastey. The chicken tasted like it had sat too long or maybe old although seasoned well. The homemade lemonade tasted like it had an old wet sponge sitting in it. The way an old sponge smells.. that's how it tasted which put me off on the food I was willing to eat. I'd usually hold off judgment on a 1st try when here's so much potential. Even under the sponge taste in the lemonade... I could see it being good if it weren't for that. However that really did it in for me. I'm slightly worried I might get sick from this place tbh. I'm really really sorry...
