Tokyo Express — Restaurant in Belton

I'm guessing this is another establishment that COVID killed. Went today. First impression made me almost not want to eat there. Dirty parking lot, followed by the dirtiest restaurant doors I've ever seen. Inside is dingy and could use a severe deep clean. I ordered shrimp fried rice. Best Japanese food me and my husband have tried for a small local restaurant. Never disappoints on flavor. Been clients since we moved to belton (2019). Food is a little pricey but it's worth it. We just tried another Japanese restaurant in greenville st and definitely tokyo express is 10/10 compared to other Japanese steakhouse near by. I've been here a few times and the food is unexpectedly good. Great hibachi style stir fried to perfection where a lot of other places use too much heat and either burn or dry the veggies out.
