Wheelz Pizza of Leland — Restaurant in Belville

Called in an order and said “I’d like that chicken bacon and hot honey pizza” because I forgot what they had called it online. The person over the phone said “hot honey?” And I answered with yes. They did not repeat my order back to me and told me it would be ready in 15 min. My husband picked up the pizza and took it home, and it wasn’t what I had ordered. He went back and asked to have the pizza remade like we had wanted and was rudely argued with about what I had ordered. My husband then commented on the fact that there was almost no chicken on the pizza on top of it being wrong and was met with a “omg, really?” from the kitchen. The pizza was expensive, and my husband tipped $5 anyway. You'd think if a customer kindly came in and asked for it to be remade, regardless of whose error it was, they would just do it. I’ve worked in food service for years and would have never treated my customer that way. I wasn’t going to write a review until that had happened because I’m just shocked at how that was handled. We went on 2/26 after placing a pick up order. When we arrived we were told it would be a few more minutes as there was only one employee working and training a second. I didn’t mind the wait at all!

Definitely think they should put some decor up, it’s very white and bright in there. Maybe change the temperature of the lighting as well, seemed too sterile.

We ordered the Prosciutto Ricotta - absolutely delicious! Wish the pizza was bigger I would have enjoyed 3rds!

We also ordered the “February Pizza of the Month 14": Buffalo Chicken and bacon with hot honey swirl .. while it was still yummy, it was wayyyyy too hot for us! A milder Buffalo or a buffalo mixed with ranch as the sauce would have been better in my opion.

Gal working the counter and cooking was very kind, thanking us for our patience and allowing her to cook other impatient guests pizza first, she gave my daughter a chocolate chip cookie to enjoy after dinner! (Cookie was supper tasty too!)

I visited Wheelz Pizza in Leland and ordered a Pepperoni, Buffalo Chicken, and Chicken, Bacon, Ranch. Out of 5 ⭐️ I would give it 4.8 ⭐️ to all 3! They all had awesome flavor and honestly one of the BEST pizzas that I have had in the Wilmington area. I highly recommend all 3, and their sourdough crust is 👌🏼 Customer service was top notch with a very welcoming atmosphere. There is also plenty of parking since the location is in a shopping center! You definitely need to try Wheelz Pizza🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
