Bridgewater Wines+Dines — Restaurant in Belville

While I appreciate the selection and the shop itself, I will not be returning to this establishment. I've been to many wine shops and even held a part time job at one, but I have never experienced such a conceited atmosphere in a wine shop. I work as a butcher in a supermarket and twice after getting off of work I've visited this store. Needless to say both times I was not in my Sunday best. While polite, the staff on my first visit seemed almost surprised that I had an understanding of wine. My second visit, I was again, treated politely by the majority of the staff, however a woman working that evening did not seem pleased by my presence at the bar, irritably eyeing her watch when I sat down, and placing the bill in front of me without asking if I wanted anything else. If you meet their standards of quality for patronage, I'm sure they will be happy to offer you any assistance. If not, you would be better off finding somewhere else...

Comfy little store, cute employees. Lots of yummy wines and helpful clerks to help you decide on the varietal of grape you are seeking and they have a little local brewery love in the corner with some nice local east/west nc breweries! They didn't have what I wanted and the ladies who worked there made a good effort to have some basic info on what was available in stock and that helped me to determine that I wasn't going to find specific types of beer or a huge variety. NC people must love that sessionable citrus iPa hazy crazy lazy brews, and they can't make the breweries around here brew what I want so I guess I'm SOL till I go back to the promise land, Colorado! Gotta love that local section and this store for bringing at least a little gumption to leland with some basic choices to expand your pallette, for that you get 5 stars and I shall return in the future to check the shelves and say hi to the friendly...

Well let’s start off with some good! Like the lay out of the business. Plenty of choices in wine. Staff was an accommodating to us and our 7 1/2 month old son. But the staff was lacking. Seem to have their mind else where while we waited for our orders to be take. We were 4 out of 6 of the people in there. So not busy. We waited about 15 to 20mins before get our orders. FOOD, was over priced. They should rethink the meaning of pork nachos differently not something I’d reorder. Barely any pork pretty much a sprinkle of it. Same with the cheese. Had plenty of sour cream and guacamole and salsa. Chips were the last crumbs in the bag! Lots and lots of broken chips. The Mother in law got meatballs which were subpar has she put it.
