Update to my original review — they redeemed themselves. Its too convenient for me to adhere to my lifetime ban. I get takeout all the time again. But I am still leaving my original review below for posterty…… original review- Been a customer since they opened. Ordered takeout all through the pandemic to support the business. today i was informed for the first time that togo orders dont come with side of chips and salsa and from now on they will require me to pay for it. my order today was over a hundred dollars. we have ordered probably 20 times or more during pandemic. i had to drive back today after picking up my order because they forgot the chips for our queso and guac. this is when i said oh and you forgot our salsa. thats when they told me about this new rule. i asked when they created this policy and he said beginning of covid. i have never once been told this policy. we always tip full 20% on our takeout orders. why would people that sit in the restaurant get chips and salsa and not takeout orders? i am mad about this. they acted as if my patronage for more than 16 years was worth nothing. its their business and they can do what they want but they will lose more than they gain with just my family not going there. they almost turned me into a karen with this stupid policy. and by the way i dont see chips and salsa...
Read moreIt’s no surprise that I chose La Rosa to celebrate my 40th birthday last weekend with a group of friends I haven’t seen since the pandemic started. Knowing that their jalapeno margarita was out of this world I instantly recalled why La Rosa had received so many accolades. Crisp, and refreshing with the perfect amount of kick, the margarita was just as good as I remembered it being 6 years ago when I last visited the Northwest Crossing staple.
After choosing the fish tacos for my entrée, I was not let down. Our group’s food was presented quickly, and was hot, fresh, and plated flawlessly. If I could enter a chef’s kiss here, I would.
Our group lucked out getting a table at this busy haunt on a Saturday night, but using their online booking system was seamless, and our table was ready within minutes of arrival. The atmosphere of La Rosa proved to be immaculately clean; it’s the type of establishment that focuses more on the food than the over-the-top murals on the walls and blaring mariachi music.
Keep on serving up greatness, La Rosa. I’ll try not to let 6 years go by...
Read moreWent in today and oh boy. I had called right when they opened at 11 am to make a reservation as I have 2 little boys. I was told they were not taking reservations (seems like a poor business decision on the busiest day of the year for Mexican restaurants), but okay.
15 minutes before I arrived, I called to check the wait. Was told there were a number of tables available. Upon getting there, all tables had been filled. That’s never fun but I still understand.
After explaining I have little children and if the wait is super long, we’ll go somewhere else, the host told me shouldn’t be longer than 20 minutes.
NEVER EVEN CALLED ME BACK AT ALL. What a poor excuse for service. If you’re looking for great Mexican food with awesome service, go to El...
